Consumer Review- Website Tonight

I recently decided that I needed to have a website to promote my business. Because I’m so inexperienced and “graphically challenged”, I looked into hosting services that offered website templates or site builders. After hours of research I finally came back to one of the first services I checked on the heavily advertised www.godaddy.com. I registered my chosen domain name and gave credit to WebSite Tonight®.

WebSite Tonight® is announced as fast, easy, and fun for users at any level to build a professional-looking website. There are no manuals to read and no master programs before starting, which is very nice for people (like me) who have no patience for technical language. There is nothing to download. Your site will be built and managed from your ever-familiar browser. And, with WebSite Tonight®, you get free hosting and a free email address, so all you have to do is get a domain name.

The first step will be to decide what type of package you are looking for. WebSite Tonight® offers a wide selection of designs. The list below will show you the details of each;

Basic- One page, 5 MB disk space, but 500 MB bandwidth, 1 free emails, $2.95 per month

Economy- Five Pages, 50 MB disk space, 1000 MB bandwidth, 1 free account, $4.95 per month

Deluxe- Ten Pages, 2,000 MB disk space, 100,000 MB, 200 free email accounts, $8.95 per month

Premium- Twenty Pages, 4,000 MB disk space, 200,000 MB, 400 free email accounts, $12.95 per month

No matter what package you want, always upgrade later. You can pay back your chosen for a certain number of months or years. If you buy 12 months at a time or more, you are eligible for a 20% discount. The service plans are very flexible, which is not common with many web hosting plans, which often require a minimum agreement of one year of service. With WebSite Tonight®, you can try it for one or two months and if you don’t like it, there’s no fixed price for it. GoDaddy.com also offers flexible options for all of their services. They accept PayPal, credit-card, e-checks, money orders, and cash.

Once you’ve picked and paid for the package, you can get started. You can jump to the right or if you prefer to read up, GoDaddy.com offers a tutorial/virtual tour of the WebSite Tonight® program.

Your first task involves entering general information about your site, such as headings, subheadings or tag lines, copyright text, and default email addresses. WebSite Tonight® recommends choosing a header and tag line that reflects your site’s topic, theme, message, or business name. Copyright distribution is optional and can be removed from the page if you don’t think it’s necessary. The default email address is your contact email address. Visitors will use this address to contact you. If you don’t want to enter anything, your web hosting address will be used.

Once this is done, you will move the project into your chosen location. There are 190+ different types of models to choose from. When you decide on your template, look for a design and layout only, because pictures and colors can be changed later.

Once your model has been selected, you need to choose a color scheme. WebSite Tonight® recommends observing the same color scheme because each template is designed with specific colors by graphic design experts. If you don’t like the default engine though, you can choose your own. All design colors can be customized, including color palettes, text colors, button colors, etc.

Now that your body is complete, you can start building your pages. Choose a name for each page, about us, contact us, FAQ, etc., and then type in the text you want to appear on each page. You can use HTML or format everything using the normal WebSite Tonight® text editor. You can select multiple fonts from and you can also download additional fonts as well. As for images, you can keep the default images, use one of the 1700+ WebSite Tonight® images, or upload your own images for each page.

The program automatically saves pages as you create them and gives you the option to delete everything you’ve done and start over if the project isn’t as difficult as you thought it would be. The best part of the building process is the convenience. If you have already created your text elsewhere, you can use the available template and paste option.

Your last step is to publish your website on the internet. Using an available spelling program, check your site for errors. Next, enter the keywords in an easy-to-use entry form. These keywords will help people find your site. Type as many as you want; the better you use it. Click the edit site button and voila, you’re done!

Your site can be managed and edited very easily by accessing your GoDaddy.com account. There are sudden updates. GoDaddy.com also promises 99.9% uptime for your site, the highest guarantee in the biz. They also promise excellent service and support for their customers.

I’ve only been a customer for a while, but so far so good. I had no problems building my site and I had no updating problems. Overall, the service plans are reasonably priced, making WebSite Tonight® one of the best package deals on the Internet.
