Flameless wax candles offer many more decorating opportunities than wick and flame varieties, especially when wanting something unique. They do not pose a danger since they do not have real flames. They are usually very plain, but absolutely anything is possible. They can be covered with paper or fabric and placed in areas that wax pillars with flames could not safely be used. Have fun with these creative ways to decorate flameless candles, and enhance battery operated luminaries in interesting, unique and beautiful new ways.
Add Birch Bark and Wire Wraps
Birch bark should never be peeled off of trees, but it can be purchased in craft stores. The easiest type to work with is trimmed with wire. It is rolled up like ribbon, and it can be used to beautifully decorate flameless wax candles. Wrap the pillars gently but firmly, and cut the bark to the appropriate length. Attach it using strong clear adhesive. The flameless wax candles will be perfect for decorating rooms with rustic cabin style. They will not look like the battery operated type, especially at a distance.
Apply Paper with Mod Podge

Colorful tissue paper, wrapping paper and other thin varieties can be used to beautifully decorate flameless wax candles. Begin by measuring the paper and cutting it to size. Apply decoupage medium to the surface of the flameless wax candle before applying the paper. After the paper is applied, give it another coat. If the paper is thin, the flickering candlelight will show through.

Wrap Them with Ribbons and Lace
Ribbons and lace are beautiful embellishments for flameless candles, and they are easy to apply. Buy ½ inch wide ribbon and coordinating lace that is between one and two inches wide. Wrap the lace around the center of the flameless candle, and top it with the ribbon. Secure the cut ends with double sided tape. It works beautifully to hold lightweight materials. If desired, attach a single faux gem or some other decorative piece to the center. It will look elegant, and it can be used as a dining table centerpiece if placed on a candle tray, in a formal entryway or a bedroom where it will coordinate with other materials of the same style.
