If horses can sense prey, then the Percheron horse can be proud of its heritage. They helped plow the fields in many countries, worked in the circus and provided themselves with various wars. So, of course, man returns this gentle creature by eating or using pregnant mares to manufacture inhumane hormone drugs.
Percherons are some that are valued and work in the fields, pulling a cart or riding. But they are few and far between.
Equestrians
Percherons are big, muscular horses that translate into big money for butchers and slaughterhouses. The Percheron is considered a delicacy in the countries of Italy, Austria, Iceland, Japan, China and France. Horse meat is also used in pet food industries of many countries and carnivores are fed in zoos around the world, including the United States Federation. Percherons only need to grow in the annals before they are considered mature enough to medicate. This makes it one of the best types of horse meat and that is where most of them go to the abattoir.

Belgians are the most common breed found on Premarin farms, but many other draft breeds and draft crosses are also found working there, including Percherons. What are these fields like? Think of a urine mill. Premarin short urine pregnant mares. Mares are made pregnant, stand in stalls for up to 20 hours a day, throughout pregnancy with their lower parts hooked up to a urine collecting machine, then, when the foals are young, they are taken away and usually killed (although others are poisoned); and then it incubates in its warmth nine days later.
Pregnant mare urine is the main ingredient in hormone replacement therapy drugs such as Premarin. It is unknown how many horses have died as a result, but a conservative 2004 estimate from MSNBC is one million a year. Although this inhumane industry has been reduced since 2003, many mares are still slaughtered for their urine.
Fortunate
They are not meant to be at the dinner table, having busy lives. Percherons are intelligent animals and can learn as any trainer will teach them. Usually in harness rather than under saddle, to pull wagons, farm equipment, ride hay, in the logging industry and star in parades. They are still seen in some show venues like equestrian dinner theaters, circuses or in petting zoos.
Percherons also used to breed Thorcherons, a half-Percheron noble half game horse. However, they do not have the ability to jump, which makes warm blood thinner, but it is greedy. Percheron has also been used in the breeding programs of rares captured by , such as Vladimir Graves Daught.
