CVS Cold Remedy: Better and Cheaper Than Zicam RapidMelts

It is possible that such a product exists where the generic brand is actually BETTER than the original brand it imitates.

But I found it.

Remember that many different Zika Cold Remedies form not only in the nasal spray. I don’t fight with nasal spray because I have poor hand-eye coordination so there is no way I can take such a product properly.

So for people like me, Zicam has RapidMelts. These are tablets that you dissolve in your mouth. If you don’t mind that it’s dusty then these tablets can make a great place for a nasal spray and there’s no risk of losing your sense of smell in the process.

There is only one problem with RapidMelts…

… the worst taste ever!

I guess that’s why people prefer nasal sprays.

It is possible that RapidMelts only affect the metallic aftertaste, though, for those with sensitive taste buds (or allergies to aluminum as I had to learn the worst way years ago). I just can’t understand why Zicam would allow this product to continue with its romantic taste…

Especially when I found a store brand that still does the same job without it.

In fact, I tried CVS Cold Remedy Fast Melting Tablets for the first time and was completely floored by the effectiveness of this product. So it was such a surprise when I tried the Zica brand and found out how awesome it tasted. I couldn’t break down the whole board, which made the Zica brand useless to me.

At least with CVS Brand I can break down the whole thing in my language without losing my mind.

The ingredients in the CVS Brand are different from the Zicam Brand. In both brands, you will expect to find the main ingredient to fight colds: Gluconic Zinc. But this is one ingredient that these two brands have in common.

The additive in Zicam that is behind the metallic taste is Zinc Acetate. While it is possible that Zinc Acetate may also be beneficial in shortening the duration of the common cold, I believe the CVS Brand is still just as effective, if not for someone with a sensitive tongue. The only additional supplements that CVS Brand has are Zinc Oxide and Black Elderberry as well as other active ingredients that keep the Zica brand from smelling the metallic aftertaste.

I’ll admit it: my love for CVS Brand Cold Remedy is so great that I’ve taken these posts several times. more days than me fighting the cold. Despite the warnings that come with the CVS Brand, I still drink a few acidic liquids (not too much) and have less stomachaches with this brand then I did when I tried the Zicam Brand.

So believe it or not, generic brands can be better than regular ones. brand depending on your taste and the product itself. CVS Cold Remedy Fast Use tablets surpass Zicam RapidMelts, creating a product with no metallic aftertaste, and when taken at the first sign of a common cold, it will save you from last week’s longthroat or stuffy nose Airborne and Emergen-C products have their effectiveness, but CVS Cold Remedy Fast tablets taste better, are quicker to consume, and don’t leave a persistent acidic taste on my tongue. Without a doubt the most effective cold sore remedy I have been lucky enough to find and save a few. dollars per bottle compared to the brand.

Just one important note: CVS recently came out with a quick-melting lemon-lime flavored tablet, but I was shocked to find it. It contains zinc acetic acid and thus the metallic taste that is usually found in Zicam RapidMelts. Don’t get the lemon flavor! Only the Citrus and Cherry flavors of CVS Cold Remedy Fast Melt Tablets can rid you of metallic aftertastes. Just to be safe, I always stick with the citrus flavor.
