DAP Easy Caulk for Kitchen & Bath

We have just finished removing the toilet, and when we will have to supply a new sink under it, and around the edges to prevent water from submerging the vanity. I’ve never had much success with grid tubes, and I don’t like pressed grid tubes so you can’t get an even ball. When I saw that DAP now has “Easy Caulk” that comes with no caulk gun, I was sold.

Description

This caulk comes in a gold colored metal, measuring 5 1/4″, and has a long plastic attached white applicator nozzle. at the top that is approaching 2 1/4″ in length. A clear plastic protective cover that fits over the long nozzle. I was looking for a bone stem or bisque color, but all these styles were white glosses.

There are three cutting lines on the neck, all at a 45 degree angle, and one you need to cut. A line around the top will give you small, thin heads of caulk, and the bottom line will give you thicker, wider heads.

Our experience

You use this the same way you would Cheese Whiz or Whipped Cream Whipped Cream. You apply pressure to the neck with your finger, making contact with the surface. You can smooth this grain of ointment with a tool, but we just wet it with water and a cloth and that works so well. /a>.

My husband tried to use this for the first time, and it made a huge mess! Got way too much caulk on the top, at least 1/2″ width of the caulk file on the counter next to the lip on the edge It was not easy to remove.

Then I sang and pressed the neck gently and a nice thin spike of stem around each edge of my drowning! I found this to be incredibly easy to use, and much more mobile and versatile than using a stock gun, which has to be pumped and is heavier.

This one 9 ounce will give you 34 linear feet with a 3/16″ diameter grain size. It will completely cure in 24 hours. You can easily sponges or wet cloths to clean the residue

I am impressed with this new product! It makes shooting so easy, and I love that I don’t have to use the gun anymore! You can adjust the grain of the stem simply by how much pressure you apply to the nozzle, as you’d like to practice on a paper towel first – if my husband had done that we would have had a lot less mess to clean up!

It costs about $4 a can, which I think is a great buy. DAP guarantees that this will not rust, crack, peel, or separate within one year of use. It should be used in temperatures of at least 40 degrees, so if you have a boat or RV for the stems, be sure and when it’s warm enough to allow the stem to cure.
