Dealing with Mice: A Mouse in My House!

If it’s mice, chances are they know the problem well. You’ve noticed small brown balls on the lids and underneath. You heard scratching and noises in the night. You are a fool at night when the mouse jumped out of nowhere!

The truth is, rats are not safe at home. They are dirty and annoying! It is important to get rid of mice immediately because they reproduce very quickly. they can smell and leave their droppings all over the place.

It is necessary to clean the house very well and remove the crumbs or mouse food. Rats will eat all kinds of food (including pet food) but they prefer grains. Go through your whole house, checking for bugs and evidence of mice. Outside, bird feeders are a common source of excess shedding for mice.

Mice live in warm places and have the ability to squeeze through the smallest holes. They can be expressed by an aperture size of US. Remove clutter…clutter bedrooms, children’s rooms, closets, etc. After cleaning, inspect the house looking for small entry holes. Fill them in using “Chore Boy” or steel wool.

There are many ways to consider when deciding what method to use for removal. Snap traps, traps, poisons, and repellents are just some of the options available. Mice naturally do not like the smell of mint. Peppermint oil can be used in small drops on cotton balls around the house. Pepper seeds can also plans in the garden around the house.

Snap traps have been around for a long time, and they work well. But it can be messy, and not always efficient. It is also dangerous to have children around. They are very cheap, costing less than a dollar each in the most expensive stores. These traps must be set up in the walls, in which most rats enter.

Glue boards work by having a sticky surface to catch the mouse. The traps leave the rats starving and/or stressed. The mouse mouse cannot be removed from the traps once it is attached to the body, it is well pulled off like the skin. These traps are also not good for children and can be found cheaply at dollar stores.

Zapper traps work by drawing a mouse inside a small cage and delivering an electric shock, killing the mouse. They are effective, but more expensive and use batteries quickly.

A capture trap is a cage designed to keep a mouse alive until release. We use food to lure out the mouse and close the cage door behind them. They work well, but mice tend to get used to the traps and learn to avoid them.

Another common suggestion is Ultrasonic devices that plug into your walls. I do not recommend this. In addition, the Federal Trade Commission has declared that these devices have failed in rodent control. Although the noise can be slightly disturbing. for rats quickly accustomed to the test is not completely effective.

There are many poisons on the market to get rid of rats. It is very important to be very careful when using these poisons, especially if children or care are present. Rats often die in unexpected places, leaving behind a foul smell. Covering meat also attracts other pests. Poison must be used as an absolute last resort.

The best and only solution we have found to solve our mouse problem is fox urine. It can be compared in any stores and online. It is somewhat expensive, but well worth it. The urine is placed on cotton balls and placed in baskets to be sprinkled around the house. Because the fox is a natural predator of mice, it does not like the smell of mice. I found it to be effective and safe to use with small children around.

Consider all your options before purchasing any product. But do it quickly! Mice breed fast and it is important to remove them as soon as possible. By using any of the above methods, you should have a rat free home again.
