December 2011 Update on Splash Canyon – the New Las Vegas Water Park

New Las Vegas Waterpark (Splash Canyon) Update December 2011

The new Las Vegas Waterpark (Splash Canyon) is open daily. I’m still moving the dirt, and it’s happening now. Press releases indicate that they are still looking to open Memorial Day 2012.

The park’s “official” address is 7055 S Fort Apache, but I’ve noticed (from signage and such) that the entrance appears to be around Arby & Fort Apache As a homeowner who backs home to the 6900 block of Fort Apache, I was hoping a little further south to Hot Springs & Fort Apache In the following google map title is the address itself, the circle is where my house is located, “X” is where the photo A photograph was taken that would indicate a possible entrance & The arrow pointed to where I hoped the entrance would be. Vacant land in Hot Springs & amp; It is the Apache Fort that makes it easier to widen the streets. Who am I, even though I’m a fool in the area – I’m not involved in the planning or construction of this thing. I certainly hope I am wrong in this observation!

ON A BRIGHT NOTE, the press release will also state that the park does not sell alcohol! This probably means less odds of someone breaking through the walls of traffic with cars.

Overall, I am confused about the idea for adding more business and business area. Not too thrilled about the increased traffic from Fort Apache. Although, as I wrote in my first post, I’m happy to get one for the “team”. Las Vegas residents of the water park in the area with Wet & amp; Wild closed its doors in 2004.

Here is my first post on this project:
