Decorating Your Tween Girls Bedroom

Your little girl is growing up, and a grown-up girl’s room is what she needs to start feeling her independence. Gone are the days of the queen and the barbie, but what after? Here are some bedroom decorating ideas that are sure to delight your pre-teen daughter.

1. Rock-n-roll.

The age of tween girls, usually 9-12, is the age when they often start to discover music and express themselves. personality Typically rock-n-roll music will appeal to them as they begin to feel older and more mature. A rock-n-roll themed room isn’t hard to do, and your pre-teen will be the envy of all their friends.

Try a bold wall color, like red, with black or silver trim. The silver walls are also a nice touch, and a little less tragic than the red ones.

Buy some blank CDs from any discount store and decorate them with glitter. Put some glue on the CD, shine and spray dry. Flip and do the same on the other side. Now drill a hole in the CD and hang the kit from the ceiling. Easy, cheap too!

2. Lounge room.

Between girls love to have a room as “slutty” as they begin to develop longer lasting friendships. At this age, they begin to enjoy being let down, as opposed to “playing”. Giving them a place to play will appease their newfound independence.

3. Party Room.

For the most active and busy among, decorating their room with a party theme is a fun and unique style.

Go with bold colors to add energy to the room. Add some streams by paint color in different colors. One idea is to go with white walls and add blue, red, gold, green and yellow laurels all over the walls.

Add a solid, bold, comforting design and some accent pillows in contrasting colors. Keep it with blues, reds and yellows as theme > for party.

Hang the pinnate in one corner to decorate. Find nylon rope in bold colors, or paint it. Hang this rope in the corners and stick suffed to it. Your little girl may be growing up, but she probably still loves stuffed animals.
