Have you ever looked at a pair of shoes and thought – “I would like this, if only I had another… (shoe, nail, buckle)”?
There is no such thing as Here is a list of five pages to design your own shoes.
#1 (Tied) – Design Your Shoes With: Steve Madden here.
They offer a variety of choices, from flats, heels, and a pair of sneakers. Prices range from $89.95 to $149.95 for boots.
You click on the shoes and start picking colors for the base, stitching, heel and other parts. You can pick up your shoe selections in any design, whether you choose flats, kitten heels or low heels.
As each person chooses, the image of the shoe changes to incorporate your color. It’s fun to see what your ideas are like. Some of mine were really ugly, but some were pretty good. This shoe design website can be of great value if you are trying to match shoes to a wedding dress, prom dress or other function.
The Steve Madden site says it will ship within three weeks. They clearly explain: there are no returns or exchanges when you design your shoes.
#1 (Tied) – Design Your Shoes With: Nike on NikeiD, which stands for Individually Designed.
To design your shoes on the Nike site, you pick up a sneaker and start picking colors for the sides, back, swoosh and other areas. Some designs offer really fun options, so you can pick one color for each part of the shoe.
Most of the sneakers I’ve looked at in Nike design shoes cost between $100 and $170, which is more than I typically pay for a sneaker, but I know many people often pay more. You can even write your name on some of the models.
The Nike website says delivery takes up to four weeks. I called the customer service number; The lady explained, they allow you to return your shoes within 30 days.
#3- Design your shoes With: Converse here.
They have fewer choices than Nike, but their site is less expensive, starting at $45 for kids to $75 for leather sneakers.
As with other sites, you pick your colors and watch your shoes come to life. In some cases, you can choose two different colors for the inner and outer part of the shoe, and you can personalize the shoe with your name.
The reverse site says you can expect delivery in two to four weeks; nor do they accept returns for your design shoes.
#4- Design your shoes With: Mea Etnies here.
They have six choices of sneakers. The basic shoe looks the same, but the designs on the sides are different. In most cases, you can only pick up a white or black base color. Prices start at $54.95 — including shoes for youth.
#5- Design Your Shoes With: Starry Soft Hardware here.
Their website includes dressyshoe spots. Some of the designs for making your own shoes here cost hundreds of dollars. But they don’t show you the pictures of the shoes you design, which is a huge drawback.
It’s super fun to design your own shoes online, even if you don’t order anything right away.
