I think that every woman on the planet goes through a great deal of hunting time in her life. Yes, I do. In fact, I think it took me a total of 49 years to get that perfect tube hunt. You know: It’s easy to apply, doesn’t clump, doesn’t smear, doesn’t dry out, looks fabulous, and doesn’t cost a fortune. This critter is not convinced. DiorShow is the latest in a long line of wannabes. I say wannabe, but this is honestly the best mascara I’ve ever used.
Now we all know the name Dior. All visions of the perfect object. It’s classy, expensive, and anything with the Dior name is considered the best, right? Well… that’s not quite true. Almost, but not quite.
This DiorShow Mascara claims to give you the most beautiful lashes of all the glorious-yet-too-thinrunway models. It is almost true. I like the brush. It is larger than most mascara applicators so it holds more. And not lumpy at all.
Or the wet is not real. I really hate the fact that the top lashes of my eyelids are missing while I curl my face towards the lower lids. You know what I’m talking about here, ladies. I have no problem with this DiorShow line at all. In fact, at first I had the opposite problem. It seemed a little too dry the first few times I used it. Now I know that it is supposed to be this way. After using these for a while things improved noticeably. It’s still drier than most, which is very good, but it’s moist enough to easily wear a nice coat. You see, with this type of drier mascara you don’t have that problem with it migrating to the eyelid if you don’t keep your face curled for long enough. It is dry enough in seconds to make the next eye. I came to like it.
Pens are used to twist the lashes to dizzying lengths. I notice this one little curl placed there, but nothing overflows.
They don’t mention durability on what dior.com has, but this is important to me. I’m happy to report that this one tends to stay pleasant longer than other brands I’ve tried (Maybe Estee Lauder, a zillion others). It is not waterproof … but then it does not claim to be. I won’t buy one, for sure. Dior has one that is waterproof though so that’s what you want. I only leave it because I hate using eye makeup remover.
The tube (if you’re into that sorta thang) is pretty nifty looking. That is to say itlooksexpensive damage… and it is. The number is quite silver and with Dior black the whole thing is written. Make sure to print the plain ones that are easily printed. heh Personally, I only bought the first one because I needed a new tube of mascara and there at the time while I was wandering around the airport waiting for my next flight. Yeah, I’m one of those bored shoppers.
I have bought several tubes of DiorShow mascara since my first purchase, and really my only complaint is that it wears off after about 3 months. Yeah yeah… I know. You have to buy a new one before using it anyway because of bacterial build up in any case, but I never have. I have to do it now. I would count that as a good thing…
I’ll go with the 5 star firm at DiorShow, up to a hefty $23 per tube. If you’re fed up with the others, go ahead and give this one a trial run. I bought the black one, but you can go with brown or blue if you want. As it stands now, it will probably stay at DiorShow for some time.
