The Invention Channel‘s new hit Reality TV series, Making DaVinci is all about artist and inventor Leonardo DaVinci. Leonard lived from the15th to the 16th century, but many of his discoveries were first built on in the 21st century. To have the best in second things, someone’s attitude is very much in line with Leonardo DaVinci’s own thinking.
Leader for the Team
Dr. Jonathan Pevsner is almost fanatical when he thinks of Leonardo. A very interesting article was written in the Washington Post prior to the debut of the show. The article tells of Jonathan’s purchase, while still a student, of a $3,000, 1651 prize volume of DaVinci’s work, entitled (in English) “Treatise on Painting” – at this time when Dr. he was making only $16,000 a year.
Jonathan Pevsner Dr. He is definitely very busy. A family man, he is a Baltimore-based professional Professor at John-Hopkins University. He is the president of the Krieger Institute for which the laboratory is named. It is called bioinformatics in genetic studies. As if one person were not enough, Dr. Pevsner received a lead role for Discovery Channel’s “Doing Davinci” featuring DaVinci’s war scenes, usually only thought of as a great artist.
The Team and Occasional Guests
Dr. Pevsner formed a design and construction crew of four core members, namely: Val Sykes, Jurgen Heimann, Flash Hopkins, Bill Duggan. Sometimes, depending on the project, the artist can perform some work, or even be invited in front of the cameras to perform the required work. Health issues or special metal work were enough reasons to Discovery Channel“< i>Davinci “ to do this.
How to Work
The four main Invention Channel members of the crew tend to be divided into two camps: Val and Jurgen form the design and metal team, while Flash and Bill form the wood team. Sometimes the two teams can even compete by creating their own versions of Leonard’s work, where the instructions allow for different visualizations.

So far, six episodes have appeared on Discovery Channel, and one new episode has finished filming, while another episode is in the works (as of June 2009).
