Do AXE Products Really Drive Women Crazy?

Commercials are a way of life for advertisers. There are millions of them shown on thousands of different channels across the world. These commercials are perfectly crafted and marketed to help create a sense of need from the person viewing it. Advertisers want you to view their product as something unique and different from the rest of the competition. This simple goal is often hard to obtain and when it is obtained, is hard to give up. AXE is a company that has obtained this goal and continues to run with it on a daily basis. The question is, does the product really work and are the commercials telling the truth?

AXE is a brand developed by the Anglo-Dutch company Unilever. Their company is popular for introducing other hot selling products such as Hellmann’s mayonnaise and Dove soap. They have a solid history and knowledge of what it takes to make their product appeal to the public. When AXE was brought to the market, it was done so in a creative and risque way. It was advertised as something edgy that men need to use. They need to use this product because of the drastic effects that it will have on your life, especially with the ladies.

The whole concept of the AXE brand is the idea that it will give a guy an edge in the mating game. This edge will allow you beat out the other men who are trying to capture the attention of a lady or group of ladies that you might like. Men have become infatuated with the product because of the clever advertising. You will always see a group of sexy woman who go crazy over a man who uses the body spray. The body spray is supposed to drive the sexual urges of a woman over the edge, resulting in her wanting you more than any other guy. Honestly, the advertisements are bit humorous and it is quite shocking they have lasted for so long.

AXE’s newest endeavor has been with their body washes. They have advertised these washes as a way to help a man cleanse his body from a questionable casual sexual encounter. The scrub will help you relax and scrub away the feeling of dirty obtained from doing something that you felt might be immorally wrong. Once again, the concept has been a hit among the male population. They have rushed out in hordes to by the product. We do this because we fall prey to what is advertised before us. It is our hope that woman honestly smell the scent of these products to be good, but do they? That is the question I have tried getting an answer to in the past.

I conducted my own research of the product in the past. My first set of results showed that woman really like the smell of the AXE product. The time period in which I conducted my own survey was around the time it was first coming out in the United States. AXE had already been around for years in several other countries, but it was essentially a new product in the United States. It seemed that woman were really into the cologne fragrances of the AXE brand and enjoyed the smell. At least that was my conclusion when I first closed out my research.

There has been a large response since I first wrote the article. It appears that my original assessment may have been wrong. Many woman are becoming sick by the amount of spray and body wash that the opposite sex is wearing. The fragrances can often by too powerful and overused. They believe that the company itself is to blame for this.

Unilever advertises the product so heavily that they are making young men believe that AXE is the way to get a woman’s attention. The belief enters the minds of many of these men that overusing the spray may enhance their chances of meeting a woman. This type of action actually has an opposite result. Woman and men alike are becoming sick off the smell and developing a severe dislike for it. This dislike will eventually hurt the sales of AXE, or will it?

AXE has a tremendous marketing strategy. Their advertising is pushing the envelope and approaching areas that many other companies are afraid to go. This has allowed them to carve a market niche that will allow them to stay big and popular for a long period of time. My studies may show that the products do not really work as advertised in the commercials, but it does not matter. There will always be a large segment of men out there who fall prey to the clever advertising techniques delivered by the AXE brand. It is the ability to avoid it that will make you happier.

Results have shown that AXE is not as great as it may sound. Woman are beginning to voice their displeasure for the product on a rapid pace. Some men are beginning to do the same thing as well. There are many alternatives to AXE out there. Do not believe everything that you hear or see in their advertising programs. A woman will be attracted to you for your own uniqueness. Your uniqueness will come from you being yourself and making your own choices. Who cares if you decide to wear OLD SPICE instead of the AXE brand. You will feel better about yourself at the end of the day knowing that you made your own decision.
