Most dorm rooms do not have fireplaces in them so preparing your meals can be challenging. Other dormitories, such as military dormitories, may provide a small kitchenette with a stove and refrigerator and nothing else. Here are a few simple ways that you can prepare it yourself without using a stove.
*Warning* Before you attempt to cook with any of the below appliances, check with your campus to determine what appliances are allowed in your dorm room.
George Foreman Grill Cooking – George Foreman Grill is probably the most important and favorite app candum for the dorm of the living. You can cook something at the George Foreman Grill. This will also allow one of the most useful tools.
Toaster Oven Cooking – A toaster oven is a fairly cheap and small kitchen appliance that can handle even a dorm room. They emit little smoke unless they burn something and require no pots.
Some simple things to prepare in a toaster oven are sandwiches, cheese sticks, hammered fish, chicken patties, taquitos and bacon. Even fresh chicken breasts can be cooked in a toaster oven. You can also heat up medium-sized personal dinners in the toaster oven, as long as you remove them from the plastic container they come in.
Hot Roast Chicken Breast Sandwich recipe
1 package of pre-cooked chicken (these are available in most grocery in the meat section)
1 slice of Swiss cheese
2 pieces of bacon
lettuce and onion

Directions
Cook the bacon pieces inside the toaster oven.
Cut the hoagie into a roll and toast it lightly in the oven until it just starts to crisp but not turn brown.
Place the chicken strips in the bread and cover with the bacon slices. Swiss top with cheese.
Slide the sandwich into the toaster oven to make it an open-faced sandwich. Remove with melted cheese. Spread the rice on the bread, add the lettuce and tomato and enjoy.
Crockpot Cooking – Crockpots are a great help for people living in dorm rooms because a small batch of soup or stew can be cooked all day long while you’re away from class. Grocery stores carry pre-made soups, soups and roasts in the freezer aisle for just a dollar. Premade crock pots are great for inviting guests to your living room.
1 package Hillshire Farms Lil Smokies
1 16 oz broth
1 small bag of pre-attack pain is important

Directions
Pour everything into the crock-pots except the cole slaw mix. Add a little water if necessary. Cook all day. Before serving, add the cole slaw to the mix, but be sure to only add the cabbage and not any dressing that may come in the package. Cook for 20 more minutes and serve.
Spaghetti & Meatballs recipe
1 can be prepared and cooked meatballs (buy at Wal-Mart or Costco)
1 package of uncooked spaghetti noodles.
Directions
Pour in the crock-pot-cooking all day.
Waffle maker Cook – Believe it or not, a plagiarist can make nothing more than waffles. For example, waffle makers make well-scrambled eggs, shaped like waffles. They also make cheese sandwiches and in a pinch can also make french toast.

1 pound of carne asada (or per steak) divided into pieces by the meat guy at the grocery store
1 onion
small sprinkled tortillas
1 package of Lawry’s Fajitas Seasoning
Directions
Cut the bell pepper and onion into strips.
Fry the roasted meat, bell pepper and onion in the pan
Add a “cup of water”
Pour in the Fajitas sauce
Warm the tortillas and serve.
Electric Skillet Cooking – Cooking with an electric skillet is incredibly easy. You can make something from the help of roasting lasagnas in it. It comes in handy for making homemade stir fry or tri tip.

If your dorm isn’t going to be small, consider buying one to keep leftovers and snacks in.
