Macromedia Dreamweaver is a useful tool that allows the user to create their own pages from a template, saving countless hours and potential money .

How do you do an example?

    like Formula
  2. Click Insert > Form Objects
    > Make a formula or file > Save as Formula
  3. A box will pop up when you save
    options

  4. Click the ‘Save’ button at the top
    right corner
    • Now what do I do with my template?

The first thing you need to do is open the template and add a field review box. Reviewing the region allows content to be added to your site. Make sure to add any content you like to the region. Once you have selected the locations where you want to add content, click Insert > Template Objects > Editable Region A box with blue highlights will be added to your page. In the region of the review will be the text, the name of the region. Make sure to delete this unless you want the text to show on all your websites.

How do I use my template?

Your template is saved as a .DWT file. If you want to change the layout of your site, or change the look of your entire site, you will be able to do so only through that file. Click File> A new and new Document box will appear. Select the Forms tab, and a selection of models will be listed. Find your template and click ‘Create’ near the bottom. This opens a new page and allows you to add content to your review area.

Using the previous example, say you have many pages you need to add a library symbol to. Open the .DWT file, it will be saved under the folder ‘Templates’ where you want to save your website to. Add the symbol wherever you want it to appear on the page. Save the copy that will appear in the dialog box. This box will ask if you want to update the templates in the file, then it will list the pages that have been created from it. Choose Update, and it will automatically add a bookmarks symbol to each page. Another complete dialog box is displayed, showing the number of pages updated and if there were any pages that could not be updated.
