Ease Back Pain with Simple Home Remedies

Summer is here and many people are doing things around the house. Home projects like, tending the garden, mowing the lawn, cleaning the garage and other projects that can be heavy lifting. Here are some simple home remedies to prevent back pain and relieve back pain.

Relieve pain: Ice

Ice works best for back pain within the first 24 hours to reduce inflammation.

Ice will keep the inflammation down and help ease the pain. Place the ice in a plastic bag and wrap a towel around it. Leave the ice on for 20 minutes and remove for 30 minutes. You can repeat this as often as needed. A bag of frozen vegetables works well too.

Relieve Pain: Heat

If it’s more than 24 hours after your back pain started, put heat on it. Heat increases the elasticity of the muscles.

Pour 2 cups epsom-salts into your bath water and soak for 30 minutes. Epsom salts help relieve pain by reducing any swelling that is present.

Using a hot water bottle or a pad will also help ease the pain.

Find a white sock and fill it with 1 cup of raw rice. You will tie a knot at the top of the sock. Place in the microwave and heat for 30 seconds at a time until it reaches the desired temperature.

Pain Relieve: Raw Solanum

A few grates and they spread it over a thin cloth. Put another cloth on top. Put a poultice on your back. This is especially effective for relieving low back pain.

Relieve pain: Eucalyptus oil

A massage with eucalyptus oil or mustard oil is great for pain relief. It is relaxation and releasing knots from the muscles when stressed.

How to prevent pain

One of the most common causes of back pain is improper lifting of heavy weights. You can stop back pain by using it to lift your legs. Bend your knees, keep your back straight and squat to lift the object. Use your leg muscles to use your body at the station.

When carrying a heavy object, keep it close to your body and keep your elbows. If the object is above your head, rest your head before lowering it. Your back will take the weight for your back muscles.

Watch your posture. If you will be sitting for long periods of time, make sure your lower back is supported. Use a pillow, wrapped in a towel or wrapped in a chest and work out between lower back and the back of the chair. Get up and walk once in a while to stretch your nerves and keep the blood flowing.

Healthy body weight. Carrying excess body weight puts weight on the waistline. Get plenty of Vitamin C in your diet to help fight back pain.

When to see the Doctor

Sometimes the pain is caused by sciatica, hernias, tumors, or a ruptured disc, or some other irregularity. If your back pain lasts more than 72 hours or you experience any of the following symptoms, consult your doctor.

– Constant back pain, severe and does not improve with self-care measures at home.

– If the pain spreads to both legs.

– Causes numbness, tingling or weakness in one or both legs.

– If he fell due to an injury, or was struck.

– If your back pain is accompanied by fever or unexplained weight loss.
