Easy Earth Day Crafts for Kids

Earth Day is on April 9th ​​this year and these three simple, eco-friendly projects are sure to please you and your little ones. Each one is simple enough for little ones, and all offer lasting rewards even after Earth Day has passed! The first design is so cute, you’ll want to make a bunch of these! It is an egg planter and they are so easy.

Materials necessary for the egg planter:

Empty, clean egg, crack in the middle
potting soil
Teaspoon wheat grass
Five to six inches of bare card stock
Tape

How to create:

Tape the card stock in the ring to the egg.
Use a small spoon to almost fill the egg to the top with potting soil.
grass seed sprinkle the soil.
A thin layer of potting soil is placed on top.
Water carefully, so as not to overflow or get drunk.
Keep in a window or other sunny place.
Keep moist at all times.

Your seeds will begin to sprout in a day or two, and your egg will begin to grow in about a week. If you have a cat, they can only pick at this herb!

Our other project is Pine Cones Bird Alliance, these big little ones love to harvest peanut butter. as soon as it can be eaten!

Materials needed for Pine Cone Bird Alliances:

Pine cone
Smooth peanut butter
Birdseed
Ribbon or any kind of line you have on hand
A bowl
Butter knife

How to create:

Holding the pine cone in one hand, holding the rock all over the surface of the butter, fill the cracks.

Attach a 12 inch string or string to the top of the pine tree by wrapping the string around the pine tree to tie a knot. Then take two ribbons, gather and tie a bow at the top of the ribbon. Now you can have your kids hang these trees in the yard and watch all the birds come and eat your treats.

Our latest creation is painted rocks. The possibilities are endless here and the rocks are pretty easy to come by, so little ones can paint lots and lots of rocks. These can be placed in a glass container or a clear barrel and placed as a table centerpiece or set for dinner. to be placed in outdoor gardens or in indoor plants. Let your little ones decide how they want to worship our Earth with these unique creations!

Materials needed for painted stones:

Rocks or stones, preferably those you have collected from your area
Acrylic paints in any colors you like
Paint brush in various small sizes paint
carpet or cloth vinyl panels, this message can take!
A bucket of water for washing paint brushes
You would like to decorate these rocks with any labels, gems or other things

How to create:
Take a rock, paint it! Actually, this is simple! You may want to give your little ones more instruction, but it’s often best to let their creativity flow.
When the rocks are finished drying, lightly spray in a well-ventilated area with a clear coat of varnish.
Air drying varnished, you may want to place them in the garage or outside, weather permitting.
