As any dog owner will attest, powerful dog treats can be valuable when purchased at a local pet store. But there are many easy recipes for dog biscuits that can be made at home. With ingredients your pet is sure to love, why not try a few and save money?
Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits
1 cup of water
a cup of oil
2 eggs
3 tablespoons natural peanut butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sprinkled
a cup of cornmeal
a cup of oats
Mix the wet ingredients together. Whisk the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl and mix with the wet mixture to form a ball of dough. Expand and shape as desired. Place on a non-stick cookie sheet or lightly greased pan. Bake for twenty minutes at 400 degrees. When you are done, turn off the oven and allow the cookies to cool inside until they are crisp and hard. Then store in an airtight container.
Daily Biscuits
2 teaspoons of baking soda
1/2 cup of warm water
2 tablespoons celery
2 tablespoons minced garlic 1 1/2 cups chickpea broth
3 tablespoons of honey
1 egg
5-6 cups whole wheat flour
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Stir in the celery, garlic, syrup, honey, and egg. Mix the flour little by little, adding enough hard flour to form.
Transfer to a floured surface and knead until smooth (about 3-5 minutes). Shape the dough into a ball, and roll it to 1/4-inch thick. Using small bone-shaped cookie cutters, make cookies! Transfer to ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 1/4 inch apart. collect the meat, roll it again, and cut the additional pieces.
Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and turn over. Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until lightly browned on both sides. let it be cold
Buddy BoyDog Biscuits
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup everything to be mixed
3/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 cup rolled oats (raw) — quick cooking
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon sugar
Cut in 1/3 cup of flour until the mixture is thick crumbs. Stir in 1 egg. Dissolve 1 tablespoon instant chicken or beef bouillon granules in 1/2 cup water. Stir the liquid into the flour and mix with a fork. Knead the dough into a ball and knead the dough for 5 minutes. Divide the ball in half and roll each piece to 1/2 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters or cookie cutters. Place the bread on a plate and bake for 6 to 5 to 10 minutes or until firm and dry to the touch. Turn the cookies after 1/2 the cooking time.
Snickerpoodles
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup lifting
1 cup of honey
2 eggs
3, white sprinkled cups
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
a cup of cornmeal
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
Mix the vegetable oil, shortening, and honey with the eggs. Blessed well. Add the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar mixed with honey. Whisk in the fat until well mixed. Round the dough by teaspoons into balls. Mix the cornmeal and cinnamon in a bowl and roll the balls in the mixture. Place 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Prick the balls with a fork and bake for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees. Cool on a rack and store in an airtight container.
TIP: When you have finished baking all the cookies, turn off the oven, then spread all the cookies out of one baking sheet and refrigerate in the oven overnight. Extra time in the oven as it cools helps make the treats crispier and crunchier.
