The “Angora rabbit” is a species I knew about, but had never actually seen. Forget about real life, I haven’t even seen a picture of Angora Rabbit. I know that the Angora rabbit is usually eaten for its wool.
I was browsing the Internet as usual, I came across an article on some unusual pets and there it was (let’s take this article to be simpler to write).
The instant I saw his face, I fell in love. Well I can’t lie, I can’t lie! I must say – the moment I saw him, but not his face, I fell in love. My imagination ran wild and I imagined sitting in the rabbit hole. Don’t call me animal activists. I did nothing wrong by trying so. Look how furry he is.. Mr. Furry! If you don’t see the mouth and the bum, I assure you, you too will be worried about this rabbit like a hairy bean. In fact, these furry hairballs are sometimes called “woolly Wabbits“. (I did not decide this name).
I don’t understand how angora can see a rabbit with all the fluff.
There are 4 main types of Angora rabbits.
1- English Angora rabbit: Some say Angora rabbits are the cutest, but I love them all. This type of Angora rabbit is sometimes confused with a dog! Their faces and floppy ears are covered with all the fluff, and then there is a mistake in identity. These are the four smallest Angora breeds. They weigh 5 to 7.5 pounds at maturity.
2- French Angora rabbit: French Angora rabbits look like regular rabbits and have no face, ears and head. They weigh 8 to 10 pounds at maturity.
3- Satin Angora rabbit: These Angora rabbits have wool that shines like satin. Like French Angora rabbits, these too have no wool on their ears, mouth and head. A specimen of a mature Satin Angora rabbit is about 8 pounds.
4- German Giant Angora Rabbit: German/Giant Angora rabbits have very thick wool. These Angora rabbits can grow to a weight between 9 to12 pounds.
These calm and docile Angora rabbits usually shed their wool around 3-4 times a year. The only exception would be the German Angora rabbit, which must be clipped.
So you see the next time yousee a furry creature and assume it’s a dog< /a> , just be careful. He could very well be Mr. Furry-Puff Angora Rabbit.
