Escape from the Mega Malls by Visiting Columbia Mall

If you live in northern Pennsylvania and want to avoid the big mega malls located near major cities, you should visit the Columbia Mall in Bloomsburg.
This 400,000-square-foot one-level home sits on approximately 52 acres of land with 2,400 parking spaces on Interstate 80 exit 232 right.
The village has access to Route 42 and many restaurants surround the village such as the Econo Lodge motel and is located on Columbia Mall Drive.
A reverse L-shape with anchors at either end and two storage anchors across the wire, one on this side and one on the other side, but not directly across from each other.
Anchor boxes include 64,264 square foot Sears on the west end, a 34,076 square foot JC Penney on the south side, a 45,000 square feet of Bon Ton towards the north and an empty space of 80,000 feet towards the east.
I remember visiting a man several years ago when the anchor space was vacant before the hill house Department Store.
All stores have an anchor hammer entrance and at least one entrance to the parking lot, they have restrooms, and they have only one table.
Colles was one of the most famous stores in the entire market and there were always more used cars outside the store for uniqueness, quality, and affordable prices.
Hills were like Target for clothing, health and beauty aids, jewelry, sporting goods, sports, seasonal, home electronics , audio and video, household, greeting cards and party supplies, hardware, automobiles, full boards and magazines, small grocery, stationery, and small appliances.
While Ames later bought Hills, Hills was a classier store than Ames with a nice variety of holiday merchandise and things you wouldn’t see at a typical Wal-Mart or K-Mart.
The quality of the clothes, the low prices, and the weekly sales that made the film’s billboards look better than the competition.
The hills had a market entrance and an outside entrance with a Snack Bar in the glass lobby between the entrance doors, one a. each part, and its own storehouse.
Snack Bar Snack hamburgers, hot dogs, soda, popcorn and centrally located in the lobby area with tables on either side.
Ames, while both the entrance and the door are closed, put out a few boards near the entrance of the market and filled the blank storage with large plastic storage boxes , a cheap scam used by the Bradleys to fill their shelves quickly.
Hills staffed so mall the entrance of the table and the table near the door outside almost equally while Ames more staff at the register next to the store a lot of parking
This probably happened because there were issues with shoppers posting cards in the market to carry signs asking them to abandon their carts before leaving the store.
Lovers had stacked the merchandise high enough when they moved to make it impossible to see from one end of the store to the other as they were occupying the same space as the Hills.
I could tell quickly during my visit that not as many customers went to Ames as they did to the Hills and a lot went over to the new plaza just a few miles away from the anchor Wal-Mart.
While this Ames location survived some preliminary closures, this store along with the rest of the Ames locations went out of business when the chain went out of business.
Visiting the man after Ames closed; Finally, the man put down the white Ames letters near the door, leaving the Ames logo outside the entrance.
A man once advertised a space as a “Future Anchor” hoping the space would be filled quickly.
Several years after Ames closed, this dead space still exists despite the actions of a man painting the windows black, so that no one could look into the completely empty view of any trace of Ames except for those white letters placed on the outside of the building.
With the vacant retail space surrounding the former Hills/Ames, the seller was able to acquire another 6,000 square feet.
One of the unique features of the city is that it has several stores that are independently owned and does not feature the large and multi-colored features that are seen in some malls.
I remember visiting several home decor type stores, one of which was Country Accents/Gallery, probably one of the nicest stores on the market, mixed with traditional stores, that any man sees.
I remember this store because it has display space at the Perkins Restaurant near the mall.
The man used two home theaters, one at the end, with music and DVDs.
Today, only FYE exists, a storefront outside of Bon Ton along with other music/DVD stores outside of Sears and closed with no permanent tenant.
Often Halloween or Christmas stores temporarily split that space.
Many malls that only have two music/DVD stores now – FYE – may not benefit consumers because when there are two stores, competition is encouraged and you can compare between the two prices.
CVS was located just three doors down years ago, but was later replaced by a book store, Friar Tuck. that on the other side of the mall.
This store had a good variety of books and magazines, and its new location outside its entrance, which CVS was there too, gained visibility.
However, they closed the door of the book outside due to security reasons forcing shoppers to walk in and around the market.
This book store is closed and the space is empty.
Man doesn’t have Limits or Waldenbooks, so this clause is particularly troublesome for book shopping.
I remember a man who used to have Boardwalk Blvd. arcade, next to the old Ames/Hilles space, but this is also closing.
The next arcade was a music/DVD store, maybe a sharp move if the arcade could remain useful.
Now there is simply not much in the market for younger people because the choices of food are limited and there is none. porch
In an effort to lower maintenance costs, a recent men’s map shows the restrooms of former malls now occupied by “storage malls.”
Perhaps it was for the best that those restrooms were as dark as a tomb and the floors were usually wet.
Men’s “food court” is suffering from a lack of food after the choices of both Arby’s, which had its own food court, and the independent restaurant “Route 80 “The restaurant/bar that had its patio is closing.
Several Arby’s restaurants have closed in the malls, a disappointment to me, who has always loved roast beef and mulctral.
Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Luca’s Pizza, and Gertrude Hawk’s tschocolatane are the only ones in the market.
Perhaps one of the man’s highlights is Hallmark’s pleasant and spacious store filled with many collectibles that his previous store had in another space on the market.
The man also has a Kay-Bee Toy store man, a chain that I saw near many men’s sites citing stores. from stores such as Wal-Mart and Target.
Other stores in the market include Famous Footwear, Pennsylvania Air National Office Watch, Glamour, Gordon’s Jewelers, Maurice’s, Bath and Body Works, Silver Creek Home Improvement, Pilgrim Imports, Supernaturalizer Shoes, Electronics Boutique, Mastercuts, Liberty Travel, Merle Norman Cosmetics, Keyboard World, DEB, GNC, Claire’s Accessories, Litman Jewelers, Radio Shack, Victoria’s Secret, Foot Locker, GAP, Christopher and Banks, Payless Shoe Source, Pearle Vision Express, Schuylkill Valley Sports, and Sylvan Learning Center.
Two kiosks in the hallway in the market featuring Pagoda and Freedom Wireless.
Cedar Shopping Centers, Inc. A man recently bought it for $14 million.
Leo Ullman, CEO of Cedar Shopping Centers, “This property is ideally located at a major intersection on Interstate 80 in Bloomsburg, PA. We expect the center to become an excellent return opportunity for our Company, with the potential to create value enhancement for our shareholders. We hope to be able to announce some preliminary renovations. /re-holding plans for a few months”.
I don’t believe these plans will make a man “middle of life” when he has three strong anchors.
I have seen many “living centers” and must say that customers usually park next to a thrift store. > they actually enter, make a purchase and leave.
In the malls, they are more likely to sit on the benches or watch the walk in several stores but the living centers discourage this activity when , too cold or simply too harsh for this to happen.
Hopefully, the former Hills / Ames can be replaced with a similar type of store so Target or maybe one of the other retailers could move more space to get merchandise here.
And if it happened later, it would still leave the market vacant.
However, Cedar Shopping Centers, Inc. is a self-managed
real estate investment trust in a supermarket-anchored shopping center and drug store convenience centers.
Today, it owns and operates 73 primarily community-based anchor shopping centers and anchor drug convenience centers with approximately 7.4 million square feet of gross leasable area, located in eight contiguous states, mostly in the Northeast.
Landscapes and benches within the village help maintain a “community” atmosphere and many use the village’s walking development.
He published a booklet of programs that walk the inner perimeter of a man from one end to the other, walking about a thousand miles.
Statistics from Cedar Shopping Centers, Inc. It shows that the median household within a 20-mile radius of the man was $38,580 in 2005, estimating it to rise to $45,169 in 2010.
A population of 207, 239 is within a 20 mile radius.
Open Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. at 9 a.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. at 5 p.m.
