Esurance Auto Quote

I’m always one interested in saving a couple bucks when I can. I try to stay vigilant, but it can be easy with constant marketing stimuli to just kind of turn your receivers off. However, the other day I received a letter from Geico; my car insurance policy was coming up for renewal in February; It’s time to look at current rates. At the same time, I also received an email from an animated television commercial for Esurance. I’m sure sweet on that agile super scout/customer service rep. Esurance called this thing a “switch-and-save discount”, so I figured I’d go and see just how much Money really is I could save with the Esurance plan versus the stranglehold that the star has on us at Geico.”

My wife and I have been with Geico since we got our car in the back of 2007. The whole country (returning five times), we also spent three consecutive months on the road; visit all 48 contiguous United States; So we know that insurance coverage is important. I was very pleased with Geico; We ran out of gas on the side of the road once and only had time to file an insurance claim (a Mack truck rear-ended me while getting on the Brooklyn/Queens Expressway and pulled the front end of my vehicle) the right reps were all very sna. We want to drive 77,000 miles on our 28 month old car; getting a good insurance deal seems like a great idea.

Because I had my Geico policy in hand, filling out the forms on the Esurance plan was pretty easy. Because of our tenure with Geico we actually had a bump in the comprehensive & collision coverage (30/60 as opposed to 15/30) so I chose Esurance coverage for less (30/60 was not an option). The rest, however, should be kept the same on both sides.

While I’m not as enamored with that green style as others, there’s something to be said for customer loyalty, it seems. The authorization given to me by Esurance was a full four hundred dollars more than what I am currently paying with Geico for six months. Really? Switch & Salvation for what? And even less coverage! I was also a small cross that quickly ask for a sign. I got a screen with the current insurance rate and the rate offered by Esurance when I entered all my bank and credit card information. . Right there; with the same veil; your six month quote, $400 more and they wanted me to give them my info and sign up NOW.

Oh well, I sighed; another five minutes wasted. At least one of them wasn’t blind-stim-you-know-who-you’ve-added-until-the-conditions-were-away. I did my best to help screen and erase all my relevant info, but Esurance is all they need. Minutes later (minutes!) my phone rang. It’s a rep from Esurance; They want to know why the sign didn’t go up! Piqued, I asked the agent what the sum was; He gave me the same information that I had seen on the screen. I asked him if he could see the current insurance policy.

“Oh… Yeah,” she said a little uncertainly; He then launched his sales pitch. “Well, we just want to make sure you take advantage of all the discounts we can offer you.”

I asked, “Why didn’t they go up in your initial bids?”

He changed his dexterity. “… Well maybe you’ve entered something wrong.”

Sorry, am I stupid?

“But, don’t—” he said, although he certainly meant to say “yes.” Then I knew that I had put everything in place with the car and this was the result. Marked a moron by some cell phone cases not helping his case.

Chances are you’ve seen a slew of ads promising better insurance and chances are you can save money by going with another car insurer. But I will have Geico for my life; or while I’m driving (it’s still my fantasy to go back to New York Still. I dream… When everything savings and gesturing and competition going on in the auto world, you’d think a commotion like Esurance would have something more to offer than just insults and derision.
