Everclear’s 10 Best Songs

Everclear has been an underground sensation from the start, jumping in and out of popular culture since its first radio hit, Santa Monica. They spoke to a generation of youth in their angst-laced lyrics and bold themes. The following is a compilation of Everclear’s 10 best songs.

10. New Blue Champion (Album: Slow Motion Daydream) – Although this song was never released to radio, true Everclear fans will love it for its honesty and versatile nature. “I think you must be a fool of me; indeed, I would like to be a fool for the rest of my life; but I will never be a fool to you; I want all that to go away.”

9. Volvo Driving Soccer Mom (Album: Slow Motion Daydream) – Everclear tells the story of a wild and daring teenager who grows up. A sick mom is conservative. Listen to the lyrics, help the listener not laugh. “Where do all the six stars go when the lights go down?; I think I know where all the porn stars go; It’s all done driving a Volvo.”

8. AM Radio. A good song on the radio a few weeks before the good time‘s bad attitude. Listeners loved the spunky beat and lyrics reminiscent of a simpler time. “We wanted to listen to the radio station; we were too damn poor to buy eight tapes.”

7. Rock-Star (Album: Song of Songs from an American Movie Volume 2: Good Time licensed song from this movie < u>Rock Star. Encourage the audience to get out of their seats and sing along; I just want to be like them in the first class; I just want to be a rock star href=”https://e-info.vn/tag/little-people”>little people I want to say that they can kiss my ***.

6. Santa Monica (Album: Sparkle and Fade) – This was Everclear’s first big hit. I think we’ve all heard those first notes on the radio and couldn’t resist the urge to sing along to “Live With Your Spirit.” Santa Monica gave audiences a change to the fantasy of escaping hardships to paradise with the one they loved. “We can live by the ocean; leave the fires; swim the breakers; watch the world die.”

5. New York Times (Album: Slow Motion Daydream) – Everclear took a chance on the post -9/11 song The intonation of the lyrics spoke to the nation as it recovered from the attacks. “This eye for an eye thing has gone further; I don’t know who is hurting inside; I would like to believe I could learn from this; and perhaps we can do right.”

4. I’ll Buy You a New Life (Album: Only for the Afterglow) – I’ve always enjoyed the success of releasing this song. The lyrics spoke about financial difficulties. It was the last of the anthems on the white knights. “I hate those who love to tell you; the root of all who kill, they were never poor; they never had the joy of salvation at Christmas.”

3. Hater (Album: Welcome to the Drama Club) – Everclear wrote the last broken song. The lyrics talk about the anger and frustration everyone feels after a breakup. “I don’t like the way you talk to me when you tell me how it’s fun, and I don’t like the way you laugh at me when you tell me what’s wrong”

2. Father of Me (Album: So Much for Afterglow) – This song is probably Everclear’s favorite. So many children today are growing up without a father in the home. This song was autobiographical, as lead singer Ars Alexakis grew up without a father. Unfortunately, more and more people today can relate to the lyrics. “My father; tell me, where have you been?”

1. Amazing (Album: American Movie Songs Volume 1: Learning How to Smile) – This is clearly Everclear’s biggest hit. In fact, America’s youth are troubled by unstable family relationships at home. Simple lyrics sung in a child’s perspective to speak to the hearts of fans. “I hope for mine, and I hope for my father; I wonder why they are so mad; I hear a cry, I hear a fight; they say bad words that make me want to cry; close my eyes when I go to bed at night. Dreams of angels who laugh at me;
