Below is a list of favorite Mexican drinks compiled by a local Tampa Bay bartender that many of his customers have requested over the years. He gave me a recent interview. The recipes listed are his own. These are only suggested weights, so you can change them for your own studies.
Tequila Park –
A great country to drink, but in the borders of God’s servant. It is a mild drink mixed, that is, it is nice and sweet without being too sweet and has a pleasant fruity smell.
2 oz Jose Cuervo 1800 Tequila
4 oz Orange juice
oz Grenadine
Stir the tequila and orange juice with ice and strain into a tall glass filled with ice (it will make a large glass). Pour in the grenadine slowly and allow to settle. Before you drink, drink to complete your rise.
You can buy Jose Cuervo 1800 for $10.99-$19.99 at Top Wine & Spirits. In 1800 the crow came in Gold, Silver and Anejo. This is up to you to mix your drink when you want.
Margaret –
This is a nice drink to relax and unwind on any night of the week. Pair this drink with traditional Mexican dishes for a themed party or party.
1 oz Petron Silver Rum
< Splash of Golden Juice Shake the ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled, cocktail glass sprinkled with salt. A Martini glass is the traditional drinking vessel, or you can use any tall glass depending on how much you're mixing. The Silver Patron retails for $21.99-$36.99 at Summa Wine and Spirits Dirty Mexican - A mix of Bacardi Limon and Corona, it has a citrusy flavor due to the lemon flavored rum and the bite of the lemon cut at the end from the Corona. 1 oz Bacardi Limon Rum 1 bottle of Corona Beer Drink some Corona from the bottle or pour into a glass of your choice and mix in a Bacardi Limon. Café Con Leche –
If you like to wake up in the morning with a nice cup of coffee, this is the way to go. Go for a strong beer and you can ask for it to reduce the acidity more or if you like a strong drink, just let the barista do it his way. A Cafe Con Leche is decorated with milk fluff in the shape of a flower. The best can be found in Miami.
A strong cup of Cuban Coffee
Whole milk (the milk must be whole to achieve the right foam consistency).
Fill a large, wide mug with the desired amount of coffee. add milk A coffee press, steam some milk and make it into foam. Add a flower design.
Bloody Mary –
A great pre-dinner drink in Mexico or wherever. Yes, it’s really important. It can also be known as “Dog Hair”.
1 oz Sauza Silver Tequila
2 oz tomato sauce
1 stumbling lemon juice
Tabasco sauce 1 stumbling
1 Celery infused Salt
Dash of ground black pepper (optional)
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a glass of ice. Or add a slice of lemon or a stalk of celery.
