Five Party Theme Ideas for Girls

Your little girl’s birthday is coming up, and you may be thinking of different theme ideas for her birthday party. Maybe you want to make a small list and let her choose from it. Planning a theme for a party can be a lot of fun, and can give you an idea on what kind of supplies and decorations to use for it.

If you are stuck on choosing a theme for your little girl’s birthday party, then here are five party theme ideas for little girls.

Princess.
Little girls love princesses. You can buy dress up princess clothing, hats, and accessories (such as a crown or jewelry). Decorate the chair or couch as a throne, or the house as royalty. You can use fairy tale princess stories, Disney, or any generic princess theme, or mix them all together! Let them tell stories and act out princess adventures!

Dress-Up.
If your little girl loves to dress up, then a dress-up party may be great for them! Gather together old clothing, costumes, and dress-up clothing that can be found in a store. Put them in a trunk or box and let them wear them on. Include accessories such as jewelry, hats, ties, and scarves. Let them play in their dress-up clothes, put on a play, or take photos of them all dressed up.

Tea Party.
Plan out a tea party for your little girl. Serve iced tea or juice, along with cookies or sandwiches. Let them wear nice clothes and accessories, or just dress-up clothes or accessories. Set the table nicely and let your little girl serve the tea in her tea set if she has one.

Garden Party.
A garden party is another theme idea for a little girl’s party. Let her and her guests help to plant a flower or take care of an existing garden (with the help of an adult of course). Let them use arts and crafts to make a flower or an adorable insect craft, such as a paper flower, an insect made of colorful craft balls, or a hat with flowers and garden insects on them. Finding a party supplies pack will be easy, as you can decorate with garden, flower, or cute insect themes!

Dancing.
Let your little girl and her friends have a dance party. Make a some space in the house or outdoors, put on some dance music, and let the girls have fun! Let them all dance for fun, have a dancing contest, and let them do popular dances together. Play games such as Freeze Dance (when the music stops, they stop, see what silly poses they have), musical chairs, and the Hokey Pokey. You can decorate with themes of music notes, instruments, and dance themes. Maybe even get a disco ball!

There are many idea possibilities with party themes such as these. You can even mix them up a little if you want to. How a Garden Tea Party? Or a Dancing Dress Up Party? You can take various party games and change them around to match the party theme. Your little girl and her guests are sure to have fun, regardless of which of these themes you decide to use for her party!
