Folger’s Gourmet Vanilla Biscotti – Savor the Fragrance, Not the Taste

When I decided to review Folgers’ new signature coffee, Vanilla Biscotti, I wanted to make sure that my taste buds weren’t the only judges on the panel. After all, I’m quite inclined to a Folgers cup of coffee. So I wanted to make sure there were three flavors on the menu. I set out to carefully recruit these coffee drinkers, not to abandon them. So the review was written with confidence.

Dapifer 2 is an office worker in a Midwestern town. She works at 6am every morning and leaves at 4pm. Her coffee intake should propel her through the workday. Coffee doesn’t have a bad time.

Dapifer has 3 supervisors in the office and also works the day shift. His life is busy and he does not favor fools. So his coffee is a purposeful drink and steady caffeine for him flies through his day.

I am Dapifer 1. I am the guardian of three old boys. I am also in school part time and I work as a freelance writer. My day starts at 5 am and doesn’t end until 11pm. Coffee is as much a part of my day as I breathe oxygen.

The scent of Folger’s Vanilla Biscotti is enough to surround your home in an envelope of heaven. The first time, Dapifer arrived at my house 2 in the morning to pick up his sample, he asked me if the perking coffee was vanilla biscotti. Of course I answered in the affirmative. Her big eyes grew around and smiling said this coffee can’t help but be good.

Two hours later he called me from work and said I was very disappointed. She stated that the coffee was very bitter and this way she could even choke it by putting a lot of sugar and cream in the cup.

Dapifer 3 stated that he liked the coffee. She loved the strong taste and also loved the smell of it throughout her house. But she insisted that the drink was only an occasional drink – a very occasional drink. The reason for these things is that he did not impress, but impressed what he said, which he thought he wanted to hear.

Now we come to the Dapiferum 1. Of all the flavors the eye is the most perceptive. And especially for drinking drinks, many things goblet. I had to mix in some International French Vanilla cream with it to make it drinkable. But, in doing so, it was as good as any other coffee -even Maxwell House. Actually, after the cream became part of it – it was pretty good–good to the last drop! Shouldn’t I say that out loud?
