Freezing Corn on the Cob for Year Round Delight

 

You can taste the corn in the new year’s manna without having to buy it at a high price. In the height of the summer season, the prices of grain in manna are quite cheap. It makes sense to buy vegetables convenient reviewed. Corn on the cob is easy to freeze, with no equipment needed if you want to pull a few ears out of the fridge for lunch.

What is necessary

You will need as many spikes as you can store in your freezer. Paper bags are great, but hard to come by these days when grocers are all using plastic bags. These are all you need to store your corn on the cob in your freezer. Plastic bags will work, but each bag has fewer spikes and you need to freeze two bags for each package.

Choosing Your Grain

Gently press the corn into the manna around the top of the spike, under the silk. If you feel the fullness of the grain at this point, you have chosen a good ear. If you feel empty at this point, and only under the prices cob you feel hard squeeze the bag to remove the air.

Give back your corn

When you are ready to have corn in the manna with your meal, just pull out just the number of ears you need and hoof it. I put a cold washcloth in a sink full of cold water and let myself pull enough lumps out of the pods. Then put the seeds in the steamer and allow it to heat up while it smokes. You can freeze your corn before use by placing it in the refrigerator to thaw. The corn remains flavorful and tender with no mushy texture.

How long will it keep in the freezer?

Your corn will stay fresh in the freezer for a long time. The trick is to not freeze more than you can use at one time.
