I’ve lived in Las Vegas for 18 years and you might think the only thing to do here is gamble. While there’s alot of that going on, there are alot of other things to keep you occupied on your vacation here. No longer is Las Vegas just for adults you can comfortably bring your children with you and know they will have a great time too.
One of the great attractions here is Circus Circus and the AdventureDome theme park. The theme park is located inside the AdventureDome and is climate controlled, so even in the hottest Nevada summer day you can take your kids on the roller coaster, The rim Runner water ride, Sling Shot, chaos the ride and the 4-D ride with Spongebob Squarepants. An 18 hole miniature golf course is also located inside the adventuredome. It’s a 5 acre theme park with everything you could want to have a blasting good time.
Inside Circus Circus itself you have the free circus acts and clowns that I’m sure you’ll enjoy just as much as your kids. The aracde is packed with all kinds of games to keep every kid busy and maybe even mom and dad too. Xtreme Zone is where you go to experience rock climbing and indoor bungee.
If you are feeling romantic you can always use the Chapel of the Fountain to get married in. This full service chapel will make your special day even more special.
Another great Hotel Casino to visit with your kids is The Mirage. The Volcano out front is the most spectacular thing you’ll ever see. It goes off every hour starting at 7PM until Midnight. You don’t want to miss that. During the day though, you should check out the Dolphin Habitat. A 2.5 million gallon dolphin habitat that is the home of a family of Bottlenose dolphins, who will perform and play and even let you touch them as they swim around their pool. Don’t forget to check out The White Tigers while your inside the hotel. You might just miss them as you walk down a hallway and they are watching you from behind their glass enclosure.
As you walk into the Mirage you’ll be mesmerized by the Tropical Rainforest. This lush green, living garden is a treat all on it’s own. The smells and sounds will take you deep into the forest, you might just forget where you are.
The Excalibur is another great Hotel Casino you might want to go. The Fantasy Faire Midway games will be fun for the whole family. The Tournament of Kings which has jousting knights on horseback and a meal that you eat with your fingers. What’s not to like.
Now if you want to do something away from the Big Hotels, Bonnie Springs Old Nevada is the place for you. With a petting zoo, cowboy shows, miniature train ride and a wax museum not to mention the restaurant. Lots of stuff to do with the kids.
We also have a Zoo in town. The Las Vegas Zoo is a 3 acre park located just 15 minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip. Our Zoo has over 150 species of plants and animals for you to look at. The Zoo is open year round so it’s a perfect atraction for you and the kids anytime you visit Las Vegas. The Zoo features, Chimps, Ostriches, Emus, Wallabies, talking parrots , a large exotic reptile exhibit and alot more. The best part getting into this zoo won’t break your budget, it’s only $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for children and kids under 2 get in free. What’s not to like?
