George Strait’s Top 10 Greatest Songs

George Strait is a Texas icon. This handsome singer is well-loved around the world, but we Texans really like him. He has a lazy, gentle and calm smile that resembles just a touch of shyness, and he is a true gentleman.

Here are just my top 10 favorite George Freti songs.

1. “All my exes live in Texas.”

Being a Texan myself who gave a little, this is my song. “All My Exes” is a fun George Strait song that pretty much sums up the dating scene. I never had the whole state than Texas to give to my exes, but they have things. I got a little too close to my gym a time or two when I ran into an ex and a new girlfriend. I find myself humming this George Strait song a lot in the gym.

2. “I pass my heart”.

George touched many hearts with “I Cross My Heart” from his movie “Pura Patria”. It is a great wedding song of the promise of love and living happily ever after. George is sure to sing a romantic croon.

3. “Chair”.

“The chair” is taken by the light movements of a man who wants to spend time pretty little lady. and moves to work. Guys, how-how – it’s great if you want to pick up a lady in a bar, although it’s a little more cliché than it is now.

4. “Will Fort Worth ever cross your mind.”

The pain and loneliness that comes with the end of a relationship. Sometimes you wonder if he ever even thinks about you. This is a George Freti song that I totally get. Moaning

5. “You Can’t Make Someone Love Your Heart”.

I feel bad for the poor fellow in this poem by George. All the more I wonder why people date so long, when their hearts do not love the person they are dating. “You Can’t Make Someone Heart Love” is a true heart-broken song.

6. “Check Yes or No”.

You just can’t fall in love with true love and find “the one” in the third grade. That check “yes” or “no” is a really hard thing to do. I wonder if an old lady like me would work. Maybe the reason we don’t find “the one” is because we’re too afraid to look and let opportunities pass us by. Maybe if the poor guy in song #5 had passed this mark early on he wouldn’t be in the predicament he is in now. I highly recommend “Check Yes or No”.

7. “I can do Cheyenne.”

I think this is one of George Freti’s “high” songs. There is a lot of emotion involved here. He is tired and afraid, and he is tired of being afraid and making decisions about the other thing or the other person.

8. “Carrying your love with me”.

Carrying your love with me is sweet song about a road trip and thinking all about his lady On the road. I think you’re saying that you don’t need much when you have love.

9. “Write This Down”.

There is no worse kind of twilight than the one you don’t see coming, the one that leaves you blindsided and feeling like you’re alone in love and you don’t know that you don’t feel the same. Sounds to me like George Strait has had a little trouble in the romance department before.

10. “I am better than she”.

This is a festive song that talks about our flaws and how we tend to hide them in new relationships. This is the song that leads to #5. Sometimes being in love with who they think you are, and then when the real person shines through it leads to disappointment. Honesty is always the best way to go. Again, the question must be asked: “Why would you stay in a relationship and let it progress to the point where the other person is thinking about marriage and you are going to destroy him?” I just don’t get it, but George Strait obviously knows something about it, because he sang about both male and female perspectives.

George Freti’s music shows love from all angles and provides a sense of the rodeo lifestyle. These top 10 songs are true classics.
