Earlier I wrote an article outlining eight freebies on Google, this a continuation of treasures I have found on Google. In my explorations as a Google fan I found several more FREE and exciting helpers for the internet user from Google.
Google Freebie 9 – Google Calendar
Google offers a really nice calendar with a lot of bells and whistles. Similar in just a few ways to a Microsoft Outlook calendar, Google Calendar has some fun and functional extras. You can search a holiday and come up with different sets of holidays to add to your calendar. From U.S. Holidays to Vietnamese to Danish Holidays Google makes it available. My favorite is Goofy Holidays. You can also add TV Shows, Sports and other events from sets that can be merged with your customized calendar.
Google Freebie 10 – Picasa Web Albums
A place to store or share your photos with some twists. Google makes it available on your cell phone and comments can be posted. Photos can be arranged on a map to show your viewers where your pictures were taken. You can also create a portable Flash slideshow that can be embedded in your blog or web page. Picasa Web Album is available in several languages.
Google Freebie 11- Google Docs
In Google Docs you can interactively create and edit word processing documents and spreadsheets. You and others can make revisions or comments on documents or spreadsheets loaded into the Google Docs interface. You can Chat with others who are also involved in the editing process of your document or spread sheet. Cool huh? Find the info at http://docs.google.com/?tab=go.
Google Freebie 12 – Blogger
You may already know that Google offers their fun and EASY to use version of a blog creator. You can create your own professional looking blog on Blogger using several templates or graphics. Blogger has a simple drag and drop interface that I prefer.
Google Freebie 13 – Google Groups
Help for your ailing mailing list could very well be the fresh and spirited Google Groups. A sweet way to communicate with members of the group you join or start. Google Groups never bothers your group pages with banners or pop-ups and it only displays relevant text ads. Check it out at http://groups.google.com/
Google Freebie 14 – Google Phone Book
Ever write down a phone number only to find it later and not have clue what it’s for? Short and sweet but powerful, the Google phone number look up is as easy as typing in the 10 digit phone number and clicking search. The name and address of the person who has the phone number is given. The phone number information links directly to a map which will lead you directly to the area from which the phone number originates. Type in your own number and you can have the option of removing or editing your World Wide Web information.
New traits at Google.com are being added almost daily. When you go to Google to search a term or find a business take a look at the links available to you on the Google home page and click on them. You may find an unknown GOOGLE freebie!
