Hawaii’s Go! Airlines Drops Ticket Prices to $19, Says Competition is Good

From that time Mesa, Arizona-called i! After the airline launched in Hawaii, airfares dropped in a way that can only be described as outrageous. When traveling inter-Island between Oahu and neighboring islands (mostly Kauai, Maui and Big Island) once purchased more than $120 one way, i! The fleet of aircraft is only $19 for a one-way ticket.

This caused a surge in insurance costs on the part of Hawaiian Airlines and Aloha Airlines, the two main airlines of Hawaii that had no competitors in the inter-island Internet market.

Needless to say, both Hawaiian Airlines and Aloha Airlines were not happy about this new, low-cost competitor. Hawaiian Airlines is in the process of requesting i! A carrier, it is said, will be born! The airline used confidential information from Hawaiian Airlines. Of course I do! he denies it and says Hawaiian is just trying to kill competition so it can raise prices again.

Why are they going! What do they have to say about this?

In an emails were first sent to the recipients of his mail, i! “The thing,” he said, “is good contention!” To show their faith in this, they offer “It is good to hear.” selling and dropping prices to the same $19 test they did when they first arrived in Hawaii.

“Go ahead! Through November 30, 2007 it’s worth an amazing $19 one way!” says the email. “We are offering $19 off flights from October 2 to November 30, 2007. These great deals are only available for purchase until Wednesday night! 11:59 pm at www.iflygo.com.

Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable and obviously limited and fast selling. Many seats were already sold when I last checked online at this time of day. All prices do not include $8.40 in additional fees and taxes.

Hawaii residents are obviously happy with such a drop in prices, which have become common in Hawaii’s rapidly changing airline industry. Prices sometimes even drop lower than the current $19 test. Earlier this year there was one day where ferry tickets between the islands of Hawaii were only $1. In all these, I! Airlines were the start of a price war and Aloha Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines followed suit.

“I think it’s terrible,” says one resident from the island of Kauai, the largest uninhabited island north of Hawaii. “I definitely travel to Oahu a lot more. Before, it was once-a-year, but the plane tickets so cheap , I definitely travel more often I can see family and friends in other parts of Hawaii.
