Disney’s well-received, critically acclaimed High School Musical sequel, High School Musical 2, debuts on the Disney Channel on Friday, August 17, 2007. While in the past, I’ve been leery of Disney hoorahs, as it’s just always been too ‘mature’ for me. The music was fantastic. Our daughter is 12 and a huge fan of High School Music (I admit that I was rather impressed) so she was born on the day of School of Music 2nd grade, and decided to set aside a part for the announcer event. Here’s what our Prince of Music 2 party ideas look like all done on a budget of $100 for food, candy, drinks, decorations and favors party.
Invitations:
Eight special invitations are very personalized created on our computer, no special software, like the basic Microsoft Pen and clip art of genius girlie On white paper, High School Music 2 clip art is scattered among relevant information printed in blue ink. This was printed, folded, addressed, and delivered to the honored guests, whom they all excitedly invited.
About jewelry:
Our living room, where the TV sits in the royal court, was designed as a central part of this High School Music II. Blue and white (you know, the Wildcat colors) streamers were placed across the room on every possible surface. Various birds litter the floor, walls and furniture and lamps are outlined in rainbow colors. A picnic table is tied with a cloth, standing ready to hold candy bounty and the like. A true blue party atmosphere reigns.
Party Favors:
All summer, the girlie planned to order the official High School Musical party supplies from an online site. Of course time flew by and suddenly it was party time, with no official supplies as yet. Went to Walmart and did not disappoint. We have musical bowls and napkins, complete with stickers, plastic drums and the last party favor, the awesome Musical Wildcats Yearbook! The girl was thrilled to find this year’s book and plans to have all her friends sign it and cover the front with a photo of a cookie from her party. This is a fantastic idea for their High School Musical party, we are beyond excited to find something like this.
Food:
Food wise, the girl wanted lots and lots of candy, chips, tropical koolaid, french fries for dinner and waffles for the morning after. To this end, we have become Sam’s Club. They did not disappoint us again. A proud guest girl with a bucket of 40 ring lids, a box of 50 pixie sticks and a box of assorted M&Ms; to share Four bags of assorted chips, a jumbo waffle sticks and we’re set.
School of Music was a fun experience for me and I. We are looking forward to the premiere of School of Music 2 on Disney tonight with the hope of similar success for the girl and her friends. I’ll also be secretly watching M&Ms; on the road. Disney in this one!
