Through the years, I have come to terms with the sad realization that certain things in life come easier to some than others, which can be said for most things I suppose. For instance, let’s talk about the innate ability to move one’s body in a naturally appealing way. Now let me be the first person to admit to the fact that I am not one of the more fortunate ones blessed with any kind of finesse when it comes to dancing-whether it be hip hop, ballroom, aerobic, or anything that involves synchronized or harmonious movements of the body; I have fought this poignant fact of the matter long enough, and have recently forced myself to suck it up and deal with this dismal detail in my life. Only as of recently, however, have I put an end to all the denial and started working through this, moving on in my pursuit of exuberance.
One might agree that it makes sense that I have learned to avoid potentially embarrassing situations by steering clear of any type of facility where dancing might take place or the possibility of being subject to public humiliation. Nevertheless, a month or so ago, one of my good friends, through much necessary begging and pleading, convinced me to test drive, if you will, this hip hop dance aerobics class called Mosley’s Movements, taking place each afternoon and evening in the Shreveport, Louisiana metropolitan area. It is truly local, and with that said, all the more fantastically original in every possible sense.
Now let me stress the point that Mr. Patrick Mosley himself, the instructor of each and every class, does not necessarily pride himself on teaching uncoordinated people to dance, but rather challenge their bodies in ways of synchronized, insanely fabulous, physical movements of the arms and legs, twists and turns of the torso, all the while creating an unbeatable, beautifully exhausting workout that any spirited person would absolutely adore. If you find yourself looking for a way to improve overall coordination and you are not opposed to improving your physical health in the process, Mosley’s Movements might just become your new obsession, as it is already becoming quite the craze in the Shreveport area. I can speak from personal experience that the routines performed during the workouts of Mr. Mosley are wildly exciting and nothing like anything you have ever experienced. So put on that workout gear and get ready to jump, jive, and sweat!
Making the classes all the more alluring is the fact that you will see such a diverse group of people attending on a regular basis, gathering together with distinct characteristics, yet together sharing in the excitement of personal enjoyment and complete satisfaction. For anyone living in close proximity to the city of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mosley’s Movements is an absolute must! When it comes to hip hop dance classes, this establishment gets an A+!
