Slavery can often be thought of as one of the most devastating racial events in our nation’s and world’s history. Slavery was first introduced into the British colonies in 1619, but slavery existed years before present day America. The service was abolished from the United in 1865 by the 13th amendment to the African Constitution. Americans are still not treated as equals to other citizens. The fight for equal rights to American in the United States of America has been long, gruesome, and fruitful.
The colonies first began transporting Africans for labor in 1619, and the slavery lasted for nearly 250 years. During this time over 9 million Africans (lowest estimate) were forced to work from their homes. It was a terrible decision of the colonists to allow slavery to continue for so long, but it is great that slavery finally ended. If slavery were never ended at all, it would be a disastrous outcome. The population of Africa would be so strongly affected that it would not be able to function at all, not to mention the countless negative effects that African citizens in America have, such as joblessness, disease, etc.
Although slavery ended for our good, slavery was also illegal, according to the principles of our state, established in the Declaration of Independence, by which all men are created equal. If all are created equal, does it rightly include Africans? Why are white men allowed to be free African Americans were treated unequally against the law, and deserved equal treatment blushing as they do now during the slavery era.
Since the Declaration of Independence makes slavery illegal, the right of all citizens to equality makes slavery illegal. Equality holds the same idea that all men are created equal. African Americans were obviously not treated equally during slavery. Americans still Africans are not really equal to everyone in society to this day, yet they are very affected. they deserve
Slavery is unlawful according to equality, but I now know what slavery is and the treacherous nature of its deeds. Slaves were defeated, starved and lived in the most difficult conditions, while their masters were rich, ate well, and lived in the most beautiful houses. The female slaves were forced to cook for their children and make the house horrible, as well as some work in the fields. Most people aim to work under the sun, harvesting crops in the fields for very long hours. I don’t understand how the Americans had the heart for this, considering how it violates the basic principles of the American Government.
Therefore, slavery is unjust and should never have happened. The right to equal rights for African American citizens has been a long, grueling and ongoing process. If the service had not ended, many more problems could and would have occurred. Slavery, however, was illegal according to the Declaration of Liberty and Equality. Slavery was also a horrible process that Americans should never have to go through because they understand that it is for the common good of people not to force them to work. Slavery destroyed the lives of millions of people and created more racial discrimination than any other event in United States History.
