Answering yes to any of the above questions means that as far as maintenance and support outside of your home is concerned, you would be fine. Inside those walls and under the roof is what we typically see and clean regularly, but outside the walls, roof, etc. we will keep our roofs in order and protect our home, and let all the neighbors not murmur. So let’s take a few minutes to examine some questions.
The outer walls of our houses are like the skin on our bodies; As the skin is protected against harmful elements, the outer surface of the house protects you, and you from the outside. The importance of keeping exterior walls in good shape is vital for the longevity of the home and for temperature control.
First, take a bath outside your home. How often you should do this depends on the climate, location and amount of dust from foot traffic. Usually once a year is enough. You want to think about buying a pressure washer to get the job done quickly and easily. Look for PSI (pounds per square inch) that has reasonable strength. It should do somewhere around 2,000. Know how much pressure you need to get the stream to the roof of your house, but also when it comes to the lower parts of the house. Start at the top and work your way up. Underneath the roof of your roof, take a heavy shower and pressure wash your washer to loosen any dirt and debris, then remove it to the underside.

As you wash the exterior of your house, and while you’re on the roof cleaning the gutters, you should also do a general inspection. Check your tiles to make sure everything is in place. Make everything look as safe as you like. Larger houses would require re-pointing of the concrete foundation or some repair and or wooden exterior painting. If you have a fireplace, be aware of any loose bricks or tiles that may have been pulled out over the past year. This would be a good time to drive out any bee or wasp nests, as well as pull out and clean anything hiding behind your curtains.
Window cleaning will also be something that you need to spend some time on. If you live in a northern location, you may want to remove the storm windows and put down and get the rafts in for better weather.
It’s a good time to check cleaning windows. A garden hoses will quickly clean the hoses before you put them on; which will require a little unaccustomed affection. Unless you want to stock up on Windex, you can clean all those windows with a vinegar and water solution.
After you’ve finished the house, make sure to give your lawn and landscaping some attention. A home accents beautifully manicured lawns and some clever landscaping. But the opposite will also detract from your home. The outside world will not be as noticeable as the bipeds growing out of your garden.
