Sometimes the redecorating bug hits you when you simply don’t have the money to get it done, right? For the hatchlings are busy! Cardboard and some paint you need to give the whole place a whole new look at home. This whimsical design is perfect for kids’ rooms or even a den. If you save recyclable materials, like cardboard, this project is perfect for you. Get out the thick cardboard and you’ll be creating some fabulous new decor in no time.
A new coat paint on the walls is a great way to start a redecorating project. A fresh coat of paint will make this project look the best it can. You will cut the giant jigsaw puzzle pieces and mount them to the walls – or other areas of the house.
Cut the giant jigsaw puzzle pieces out of cardboard, by hand or using a template. Paint the cardboard pieces with a solid, striped or raised design. Use double-sided tape to easily mount the pieces, to most any wall. The tape allows you to later tear off the pieces and redecorate again.
Another technique is to paint puzzle pieces on cardboard picture or design on cardboard, then cut out the pieces, and mount them. In this way each part has a partial image. Keeping the image simple will allow visitors to get the full picture of the original, even though the pieces are scattered across the camera.
Jigsaw puzzle pieces are great for projects other than walls. Cut pieces to attach to a basket or lampshade, or medium-sized pieces to attach to a vase or a large mirror. There is no end to the designs you can have and where you can put them.
Thick cardboard is recommended for this project. Thinner pieces do not stand out as well in jigsaw designs as thicker cardboard. Make sure you use the same thickness for each piece you cut, unless the pieces are to be used on different surfaces. For example, you will want to use the same thickness for any jigsaw pieces you have on the wall seat, but you will probably use thinner pieces for matching the lampshade can use
To make your own shapes, scan and copy a few different shapes of real jigsaw puzzle pieces. Use your computer to enlarge the pieces of paper. Make patterns of different sizes and shapes so you will have small or large projects.
If you have cardboard to work with, you can finish the dirt for the price of painting. It doesn’t take much to see, either. Mount a few puzzle pieces on the walls, level the lamps, or make some small pieces to match the body picture a>.
Puzzle pieces can be attached to doors, table bases, pieces of furniture, trash cans, shoulders, shoulders, heads, shoes, and many other places. Give these objects a color by painting the cut-out pieces brightly, or just add a touch of whimsy by creating a picture by dividing it into pieces.
Need help creating images? Cut out the posters, product boxes or magazine pictures and put them on the cardboard before cutting them into pieces. You will enjoy this project because it is fun and easy. Get a piece of paper and a sharp knife and you’re in business!
