Homemade Tuna Noodle Casserole

Well, so many people joke about tuna noodle casserole but in our house, it’s a favorite weekly meal. One of the easy reasons is because Another reason is that they are very popular because they are tasty and filling and all in one casserole dishes have all the ingredients. /a>! There are certainly many ways people prepare this dish, but my recipe is one that I have added and subtracted from over the years to make it my own. It’s the perfect combination of flavor and nutrition to feed my family!

Here’s how I do it;

Ingredients:

1 box (16 oz) pasta, any shape

2 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons of butter

1 cup of milk

4 oz cheddar cheese

2 oz Parmesan cheese

1 tsp onion powder

A dash of salt

A dash of pepper

1 cup sour cream

2 cups mixed herbs

2 cans of tuna (preferably solid white)

The procedure:

1. Preheat the oven to 350. Grease the dish. Spray cooking works well for this.

2. Cook and drain the pasta according to the instructions on the box. Pour pasta into tuna dish and set aside.

3. Melt the butter in a pan. Add the flour to the melted butter and stir to form a dough. Add the milk very slowly to the flour and stir constantly. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Do not boil the milk or it will burn.

III. Add the cheeses, onion powder, salt and pepper, and stir until all the cheese is completely melted. Sit down while you take the next step.

5. Flake tuna over pasta.

6. Add the mixed herbs. It is extremely cold.

7. Pour the cream pasta sauces, mix the fish and vegetables and the ingredients thoroughly. Add the sour cream and mix until completely incorporated.

8. Bake in the oven at 350 for about 45 minutes or until bubbly.

HINTS:

1. Toss this with salad greens and toasted garlic, if you like, or it’s really a whole dish in itself. (That has something to do with food groups!)

2. recipe and make 2 casseroles. It freezes really well and you can just heat it up (from frozen, cook for one hour) one night when you don’t have time to prepare dinner.

3. Use frozen mixed vegetable medly (corn, pea, green bean, banana, and lima bean). the vegetables are still frozen hot you can add pasta with yeast sauce. Once cooked in the oven, break the vegetables and cook them.

4. There are different forms of pasta that they use. Bowties, rotini, and ziti are my favorites for this casserole.

5. Put this on the burner the night before, but do not cook. Pop it in the oven for 45 minutes when you get home from work for a simple weeknight dinner.
