Homeschool Bible Lesson Plans: the Lord’s Prayer

In this Homeschool Bible Lesson Plan we learned the Story of the Lord’s Prayer. I really enjoyed this lesson. I actually learned from this Bible lesson. I knew the Lord’s Prayer but didn’t really understand all of it. So this lesson not only helped me but also helped my children. I went ahead and printed out the stuff that we were going to need throughout the week on Sunday. I like to get all of the materials that I need before we start because it saves time. This is how we did The Lord’s Prayer Bible Lesson.

Homeschool Bible Lesson Plans – The Lord’s Prayer

On day one I read the story that I printed out. This story explains what each line of the Lord’s Prayer means. Then I let the kids read the Lord’s Prayer to me. Then we discussed what we had read. Each night we read the Lord’s Prayer from the Bible. The Lord’s Prayer is found in Matthew 6:9 – 13.

On day two we read the prayer again. Then we made the Lord’s Prayer Mini Book. My kids like to color, so I printed out the black and white template. But they also offer a color template. The kids colored the mini book and then stapled the pages together. Then the kids read their mini book to me. This part of the lesson takes about 30 minutes.

On day three we read the Lord’s Prayer and then we colored a coloring sheet. There are many different coloring sheets for you to choose from. You can choose sheets with text or without text. Once they finished the coloring sheets, I let them do the online jigsaw puzzle. This is a great time for you to get your homeschool lesson ready for the day. The kids are quiet and you can get ready what you are going to need for the day.

On day four we made the praying pretzel. Most of the time we end our homeschool Bible lesson with a recipe. This was a great recipe and it was fairly easy to make. This recipe is also inexpensive. But you need to refrigerate the dough over night. So you may want to prepare it on the third day or you can do it on the fourth day and just finish it the next day.

That is what we did for the Lord’s Prayer lesson. If you have any questions or need any help with this lesson, please feel free to send me an email at [email protected]
