My parents received an offer in the mail of a free stay at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Previously, they stayed at the hotel and joined the “My Borgata Rewards” Player Club for free. My father had joined online, my mother had joined when they arrived at the hotel. My dad’s birthday was coming up and they were looking for something fun to do and they offered to make a reservation online for 2 nights.
There is a parking lot at the hotel. Parking was $5, but the free room offer included free parking. Security in the region was relaxed and there were no problems. The service at check-in and everywhere at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey is very good. Inside are a wide variety of excellent quality restaurants, including Wolfgang Puck American Grille and Shades. Also within this Atlantic city hotel are shopping areas, including Starbucks Coffee, and a large 16,000 square feet. a casino area that includes 4,100 slot machines with a variety of 200 table games.
They checked into their “Classic” hotel on the 25th floor. The bedroom had two nice double beds, one of which was used to hold luggage. Toilets are provided, along with a pot of coffee, regular or caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, and tea. The room included an extra large and spacious bathroom shower area with toilet behind another separate door for added privacy. From the window they had a view of the hotels and casinos on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The marina and the green energy of the Jersey-Atlantic Wind Farm for wind energy are a short distance away.
They set their own schedule, not watching much TV, and spent most of their time in the casino or in a fancy hotel. Plaga had a variety of great tasting, fresh food at reasonable prices. They ate the buffet several times and recommended it a lot. My mother’s favorite was the spicy tomatoes they serve at breakfast. We both enjoyed the shrimp and prime ribs. Their favorite restaurant in the hotel was the Italian pizza place, Risi Bisi.
In the game slot machines they enjoyed playing casino machines. In addition, with “My Borgata Rewards” Player Club, the game earned discounts that they could use for food or in the Borgata Hotel shopping in other areas. One of the things that redeemed his wages were the Borgata chocolate candy bars that he shared at home with his family. chocolate were very good. The chocolate milk had a richer taste than typical chocolate milk, and a deep dark chocolate sauce.
Famous actor/comedians such as Billy Crystal and Chris Rock perform at the Borgata Hotel. Famous musicians from Eric Clapton to Dolly Parton have also performed at this hotel. During a previous stay, my parents got two free tickets to a comedy club show; They watched the theater, Barry Diamond’s act was the funniest. On other visits, including one, they visited other nearby casinos in the Harrah’s area including the Hotel, Bally’s, and Trump Marina. The Borgata Hotel is located in a good neighborhood and while staying in one, enjoyed a walk along the Atlantic City Boardwalk, visited Ripley’s Believe it or not! Museum, and thrift store shopping in the city. In addition to playing slots, enjoying the show and shopping, they spent some time relaxing at the hotel’s spa. My mother visited a salon where hair was done; and spent time in the pool hotel.
