The smell of baking apple pie wafting through your home awakens your senses and your family’s feelings for you. Your family will come through the house wondering how quickly baking an apple pie will be.
You don’t have to spend hours making a slave and cooking a bad pie from scratch. When I’m talking about whole, I’m talking about pie crust that isn’t frozen, or apple pie filling. Can. I’m talking about making your own crust with flour, shortening, salt, and water. I’m also talking about using fresh, bad produce to fill.
You will want to preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. You may want to add a baking sheet to the bottom of the shelf to catch all the pie filling that oozes out of the shelf.
Never FailPie Crust Recipe
2 cups sprinkled

1tbs. vinegar
1/8 tsp. salt
4 – 6 tbs. water
Mix salt and flour thoroughly. Cut the shortening into the flour and salt mixture with a fork or pastry cutter.
Add vinegar and a tablespoon of water until you have a soft but firm pie dough with effort. The pie crust should be soft and slightly moist to the touch.
Apple Pie Filling

1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp. scattered
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1tbs. lemon juice
Peel, core, and cut the apples into thin slices. apple slices with lemon juice.
Mix the dry ingredients together.
Mix the dried lemons with the juice.
Cinnamon Sugar Mix
1/4 cup sugar
Tbs cinnamon
Combine the cinnamon and sugar together in a small bowl.
Pinch the pie dough in half.
Roll out each piece to fit a quarter 8-inch or 9-inch pie pan on a hard floured surface.
Place one pie crust on the bottom of the plate. Make the bottom flush with the surface of the pie plate.
Pour the apple pie filling into the pie crust. Place the top of the pie crust over the pie plate and the filling. Pinch the edges together with your fingers or a fork. Cut a vent further into the top of the apple pie crust. apple with cinnamon mixed with sugar.
Cover the edges of the apple pie with foil for the first 25 to 30 minutes to keep the bottom of the pie from burning.
Remove the foil after 25 to 30 minutes and continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes until the edge of the pie is brown
