The first step is to completely remove any damaged or existing fabric from your lampshade. Start by sliding some pliers through the fabric, then cut it off. Once you have removed the body fabric then work on the wrapped material with threads. This will take time, but it is a great way to save money and save. and leaving the lampshade.

Tip: If you want to get rid of an undamaged or existing vintage lampshade, you can buy these wire lampshades at any arts and crafts store.

The first step is to lay out the paper flat. Develop your dining room table.

Now place the lamp wire on its side starting near the end of the paper.

Take your pencil and trace a line along the top line of the wire and roll it across the flat paper.

When you have completed one turn of the entire circle, you will then start back on the same edge, but this time the outermost edge of the lamppost will be scanned.

Repeat the running pattern. Now, this time you need to roll the lamp across that first line you drew on the paper.

Cut this out, and this will be the pattern for the new Amy Butler Fabric lampshade.

Now set the lamp for yourself.

Amy Butler cut out the lampshade fabric. You want to cut about 1 inch above the top line that you traced. You’ll also want to cut about 1 inch below the bottom line you traced.

Now, Amy Butler Fabrics are gently wrapping around the lampshade. See how much extra there is at the end that you need to cut off. You only want to overlap it on the sides of the thumb.

Fold the rough end and press down so you have a nice end to throw away when you cover the vintage lamp.

Now, run a ball of hot glue around the top and bottom of the lamp wire. Amy Butler Place your hand from the side of the fabric on your desk. Gently roll the breasts of the lampshada with the wrapping paper. Make a neat end of the folds ending in the last candle to create a straight line upwards at the back of the candlestick.

Now, run a bead of glue along the inside edge of the wire frame at the top and bottom. The friendly Butler Fabric gently presses and inside the lamps.

Go ahead and replace the Amy Butler Fabric lampshade with a vintage lamp.

If you want, you can also glue on rope or ribbon twisted around the top and bottom edges. Pom pom ribbon or fringe would also be a great vintage finishing touch!

NEVER use a bulb that has a higher wattage than recommended in the lamp. To decorate all these lamps I recommend using a small watt bulb. 25 to 40 Watts at most. These should be decorative lights. You can rely on other lamps and light sources to illuminate your home.
