These simple bathtub pillows are the perfect way to transform your everyday bathrobe into a soft pillow you can use while relaxing in the bath. A single bather will make a very few bath pillows, and make a few souvenirs for family and friends.
This simple Bathtub Pillow is the perfect craft for parents to make with their kids.
Don’t think you have to sew these bath pillows for me. You can sew with nothing, and self-adhering Velcro if the idea of a sewing machine scares you.
To make this Bathroom Pillow easier to design you will need some tricks:
1 bathrobe
Self-adhering Velcro
Scissors
Do not join
Fabric paint (optional)
Fabric paint (optional) back
Cushion insert (plastic waterproof material sewn)
To start your Bathtub Pillow, you will need to decide how many pillows you will need. You can buy a new water proof cushion insert or simply recover the existing cushion with a waterproof plastic material.
Now, to make the main form of the pillow, use the material of the bathrobe. You could use this pillow as a towel.
Place your bathrobe fabric on a large flat surface; A dining room table or kitchen table works well.
The footprint of your head is inserted into the figure in the bathroom. Leave at least 2 inches around the shape of your pillow.
You will need two pieces of this red fabric. Leave one piece of bath fabric whole. Cut the other one exactly in half. If the pillow is square, it will be simple. If your pillow is a rectangle, cut your 2nd bath piece in half equidistant from top to bottom.
To meet the bath pillow, place your face in front of the bath panel. There is no glue or glue on the edge of the fabric. You back board on top front board. If you use fabric glue, press the boards together and let them dry. If you use No joins then you are ready to put together an iron cushion.
Place your bathroom pillow in the middle of the bath once it’s dry, or your pool will cool down. You can easily insert the pillow through the center hole on your back.
Always wash the bathroom fabric before you make anything out of it. This will allow your fabric to go ahead and shrink before being cut off. While all the devices do not hesitate. Some will; lest they be endangered.
Now you need to spin one or two suction cups on the back of the bath pillow. This will allow you to place the pillows in the tub where you want them in your bathroom and they will stay in place. You can find these suction cups at almost ant crafts and craft stores. I buy shower scrunchies with them all the time. You could simply cut off the shower scrunchy rather than throw it away and reuse it. If you are making this bath for a gift, you may want to buy new suction cups.
