Over the last few months, my friend Morgan has told me about several sites that allow a person to make a few extra bucks. Although a couple of them I haven’t really used a whole lot yet, I thought I would just post them really quickly and let some others know about them as well.
Swagbucks
Swagbucks is a search engine where you get points, or what the company calls “swagbucks.” I’ve gotten a few things with swagbucks already. I’ve gotten a couple songs and a 5 dollar paypal gift certificate. Although you really do have to rack up the swagbucks in order to get anything worthwhile, it really shouldn’t take you that long if you use it on a regular basis. Whenever I do collect any bucks, I get anything ranging from 5-15 swag bucks at a time. You always have to make sure you are logged in if you are using though. Another easy way to get extra swagbucks is to download the search bar. There will be times (at least for me) a 4 or 5 day time period where you will get one swag buck every time you open an Internet browser just for having the search bar. On occasion it will ask you to fill in a code just to make sure you aren’t a computer. It’s a great way to maybe get a couple extra gifts for the kids at Christmas. If you would like to sign up, just click here.
MyLot
I signed up about a week ago for MyLot but I didn’t start using it till last night. MyLot is basically a discussion board website and make money just discussion anything and everything from poetry, to politics to school to music. There are also “tasks” you can do and get some extra money doing that too. I’ve only made 7 cents so far but considering I only started last night. I think it’s an easy way to make some extra money because it really doesn’t matter what you talk about as long as it follows the basic guidelines of no cursing and solicitation and things of that nature.
ReadBud
Readbud has a very simple concept. You get paid to read articles. Once you select your interests, readbud will supply you with articles to read according to the interests you have selected. Depending on the length of the article you can get anywhere from 1 cent to about 15 cents for every article you rate. I have found that there really is no need to read the entire article, if at all. The only downside is that it only seems that one is only able to make about 2 dollars tops every day, if that. I usually only get about a dollar a day. So it takes a while to get to the 50 dollar payout. So it takes some patients, but once you get to the 50 dollar pay out, I personally find it worth it. All you need to do is spend a few minutes a day rating articles. I have been rating articles on and off since about early July and I am at 40 dollars. If you want to sign up for readbud just click here.
Amazon Mechanical Turk
I am somewhat hesitant to talk about this one because I personally am not quite sure how to navigate the site and how to complete and submit assignments. The basic concept of the website is to test certain websites before then are released the public. So as of right now, I don’t have an opinion on this yet but you can go to https://www.mturk.com and give it a shot if you so desire.
Associated Content
This is kind of a given if you are already posting articles on here. This is the main thing I work on to make some extra money because I find it so easy to use and I understand the concept. I really like the fact that there are also assignments you can choose from if you are drawing a blank on something to write about. It seems like most people have a specific subject that their pages cover, such as education or entertainment but that isn’t a required thing on here. I personally don’t have any specific direction on what I write about. If you want a place to post reviews, talking about local restaurants, poetry, short stories and whatever else strikes your fancy. This is the place for you. http://www.associatedcontent.com/griffinwolf2008
Blogger
If you don’t know, Blogger is google’s blog system. You can set up your google adsense account and make some money writing your own personal blog. You can write about what you did that day, poetry, reviews and whatever else strikes your fancy. I haven’t set that up yet because I don’t use it often enough to make it worthwhile. If you like writing blogs then I would give this a shot. http://griffinwolf2008.blogspot.com/
You can also go to the community forum and go to “other online writing gigs.” A friend of mine also wrote a couple articles about some other sites you can make some extra money with, You can click here for her “money making websites” article and here for her “make money online” article.
