There is a how do to order guide at Starbucks but I noticed there was not one at Dunkin Donuts. Here is a simple guide to getting your coffee the way you want it.
Start by saying the size you want. The sizes are small, medium, large, and extra large. Please do not say you just want a regular size. What might be a regular size to one is different to another. This way the person can begin making your order by grabbing the right size cup you want.
Next state if its a hot or iced coffee, if its iced it only comes in small medium and large sizes.
Next if you want a flavor please state this next. There is a variety of flavors that can be mixed and matched from Almond Joy a combination of toasted almond and coconut to plain old hazelnut.
Next state the contents of your coffee. Do you want cream, whole milk, skim, or nondairy creamer? You can ask for a regular amount or less or more depending on how you prefer your coffee. Do you want sugar in your coffee or a sugar substitute? Again this is put in less or more depending on your taste.
Hints to the lingo- If you say you want the coffee regular it will be made with cream and sugar. Extra Extra means one more scoop or sugar and cream. If you say light and sweet that means two more scoops of sugar and cream the regularly put in the coffee.
Lattes and Cappuccinos are also made at Dunkin Donuts. The difference lattes have more milk and foam then the cappuccino.
The sizes are small, medium, large. They also come in hot or iced varieties.
The are regularly made with milk but it can be made with skim if asked for it.
Sugar and Whip Cream will be offered and you can get either, both, or neither.

Sandwiches come in a variety also. There are specialty and seasonal sandwiches that will be posted.
State what kind of sandwich you want first. Whether you want ham, bacon, or sausage or no meat. If you want no egg or cheese or some other variety state that first. Then say what you would like this sandwich on. Whether croissant, bagel, or english muffin and whether you want it toasted,
When ordering a bagel.
State which variety of bagel you want and whether it is toasted or not. Then what kinda of topping, cream chess, if so what flavor. You can also get butter or jelly on it also.
Tips for quick service at drive thru start by saying the coffee in the order I posted above. That is the easiest way to make and assemble your coffee quickly.
If your getting a combo you can state this first and the number combo it is and then say what size combo you want. The combos start at medium and go up to extra large. If ordering donuts please try to know what donut you want. Drive thru personal are not mind readers and describing it to us is not always the easiest way to get what you want. Also a quick tip, if you need half dozen or dozen, its better to come inside to get assurance of getting the proper donuts you want.
