Carrots are vegetables that grow underground. The plants are native to South America. When choosing to plant peanuts in your garden, there are four types to choose from. If you want low and bushy plants, plant Virginia and Runner. For peanuts that are taller and more upright, plant them in Spain or Valencia. You can buy any of these varieties at farm supply stores, garden supply stores or online. Make sure you don’t buy roasted peanuts because they don’t germinate. Eros is sown in the first spring.
For best results in growing peanuts in a home garden make sure the soil is well drained. and dry well. In this way you should cultivate the soil to a depth of 12 inches. Remove any logs, rocks, or lumps of dirt that you find, or they will prevent the peanuts from forming underground.
Amend the soil with 4 inches of compost and mix. If you live in a rural area, add half an ounce of manure to the soil. The manure will lift the soil, and the manure will provide nutrients. If you can’t fertilize, use half a cup of 8-8-8 fertilizer. The garden area allow it to be prepared one week before planting. The peanut plant has passed all the dangers of frost.
Dig holes
Dig planting holes 1.5 to 3 inches deep, spacing them 7 inches apart. When planting peanuts, you can plant peanuts or a whole tile shell. Individual peanuts can also be roasted, leaving the papery skin on.
Place the seeds in the bottom of the hole and cover with soil. Firm the ground with your fingers. After you have planted all your peanuts, water the soil thoroughly. You need to keep it moist, but not sticky. Peanuts germinate in 17 days. pick the weeds as they grow. Peanut roots develop around the surface of the soil, remove weeds carefully.

In six to eight weeks, the peanuts will be in flower. Give them an ounce of water every week. If the soil dries out, it produces a number of peanuts, but if the soil is too wet, the peanuts will begin to sprout.
When the plants are 4 inches tall, place 1 to 2 inches of mulch on top of the soil. This helps keep weeds under control, and the soil retains moisture. It takes 120 to 150 days for peanuts to mature.
Digging and healing
When the peanut plants wither and die, it is time to dig them out of the ground. As you dig any plant out of the ground, shake the plant to remove the dirt. Restore the faded plants in a well-ventilated area or tie them in bundles and hang them to dry.
After fourteen days, remove the peanuts from the plant and continue to heal for another 14 to 21 days. Peanuts contain a mild toxin after they are extracted from the ground. It does not skip the reset process. This eliminates the toxin before consuming them.
