Macular degeneration runs in my family, with my grandmother, several aunts, and even my mother showing signs of vision loss. I’m lucky in that my eyesight is still considered near perfect, but I also spend a lot of time on the computer, reading, writing, and editing, which really strains my eyes.
Recently, I bought a pair of computer glasses to wear with the computer. I spoke to my eye-doctors about my options, and he suggested that these glasses, while not necessary for vision, would help reduce the swelling. stress, and the tearing and tearing of the focus of my eyes. He also said that these glasses can help with tension headaches through eye strain and later suggested some tips to reduce eye strain, which can lead to temporary poor vision, confusion and headaches.
The glasses have a very low magnification, so low that you hardly notice it. They also have a special curvature that is made to refract light from the eye, as well as having gray light, and anti-reflective coating to further reduce glare and eye strain.
While these glasses aren’t cheap, I consider them the best investments I’ve ever made, and the result is less eye strain and less frequent tension headaches from using the computer so frequently that these glasses would have helped immediately.
The doctor also suggested getting a cheap screen for my computer, then reducing the brightness but increasing the contrast settings. on my computer monitor – all of which will still strain the eye and improve vision.
There are other ways to reduce eye strain and naturally improve vision in general too.
Raising the forehead eyebrows, scrutinizing the nose, squinting, and other facial movements strain on the muscles that control. Eyes. It is a bad habit to raise the eyebrows and furrow the forehead in deep thought. I didn’t even know that until someone told me and would regularly come and feel my forehead and lower my eyebrows.
Once I realized this, I often felt headaches and blurred vision in my eyes, and now I stop doing this and hold my eyebrows, I get a lot of relief from tensions and pains are connected with this, and my vision is much clearer in working. In fact, my eyes now focus better, or rather focus on new things much faster.
Eye Exercises
By exercising your eye when not straining the muscles in your daily activities, you are actually strengthening the muscles in and behind your eye; which will allow your eyes to move more quickly, in the voice, and also to focus even more quickly.
Raising and lowering your eyebrows several times in a row, tightly closing your eyes and rolling your eyes around, opening your eyes and doing the same thing can help exercise these muscles and make them stronger and respond faster.
Search on the internet eye muscle exercises and you can find plenty of things, but as always, be sure to consult your eye health care professional to that which is best in your eyes.
Resolve in a better vision
It has been proven time and time again that those who don’t get enough sleep at night can experience blurred vision and/or blurred vision. >, focus problems, and tired eyes. Your body heals the muscles in sleep cycles, which don’t start until you’ve slept for at least four hours, so it’s important to sleep every day 6 – take 8 hours at night to heal the muscles and strengthen the eye muscles.
Do not wear corrective lenses
I know this seems counterintuitive to good vision, but glasses and contacts can actually make your vision worse without glasses or contacts. The eye has to adjust how it sees with the correcting lenses, and this shows that the eye is weaker; because the eyes depend on correcting lenses to do their job.
Now, if you must use corrective lenses to drive safely or wear them to work or to read, then by all means do so, but as much as possible, do as much as you can without corrective lenses so that your eyes are working. and they should learn to see themselves without correction through their lenses.
Also, lens correction changes how light enters your eye, and you really won’t see as sharp as you would with corrected lenses. Without corrective lenses, your corrective lenses would give you the same vision.
Cover your eyes
Every so often during the day, take a few minutes to stop and warm your hands by rubbing them together, and make a palm cup with both hands. Place your cupped hands over your eyes, with your fingers touching your nose, and cover your eyes fully so that no light enters between your hands. At first you will see some patterns, colors, shapes that may float before your eyes. Just relax and keep your breath deep until the colors and shapes go away and all you see is solid black.
Depending on how stressed you are and how tired your eye muscles are, this can take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes or longer. Meditation and chanting will help you relax enough to be a solid black. When you’ve finished a solid black, you can just rest as long as you want.
When you are finished, keep your eyes closed slowly and remove both hands slowly, so as not to touch your eyes lightly. Slowly, when you feel ready, open your eyes again. It may take a moment for your eyes to refocus, but when you do, you will see that you see much more sharply and clearly, and you will feel less tension behind your eyes.
Sun and Air
Sunlight and sunlight are important for eye health and vision. In fact, moderate sunlight is absolutely necessary for human health, but it also helps to promote good eye health. Of course, you don’t want to look directly at the sun, but in the light of day, especially at the peak of the daylight hours, outside in the sun, you can clearly see that everything looks brighter, more colorful, and sharper.
Sun exposure is limited, for obvious health reasons, but try to spend at least a few minutes a day in the sun for maximum vision and good eye health, and being outside in the fresh air helps your eyes breathe naturally too.
Dictions and Exercises
Believe it or not, diet and exercise are not only good for overall health and weight loss or maintenance; but you can also improve your vision. A healthy, well-balanced diet provides the vitamin and mineral supplements necessary for good eye health. Exercise builds muscles throughout the body, not just those used in the workout, and increased blood flow; oxygen flow and activity can all help improve vision.
Lutein is a natural plant carotenoid that is lacking in the average American diet. Lutein is found in higher concentrations in dark green, leafy vegetables, but can also be purchased as a dietary supplement. It has been shown to help vision and even slow the progression of macular degeneration.
