Last on my list is Fort Chanwa in Jodhpur. This Indian Jodhpur palace hotel is built of red sandstone and has courtyards, towers, water wheels, stables and secret staircases to panoramic terraces and terraces. It captures the Roman and the grace of a bygone era exquisitely. 18 rooms each have an en-suite bathroom. Dinner is served in the dining room arcade. Fort Chanwa is an outstanding example of elegance and symmetry in Indian architecture of the last century.
Villa Luni is nestled in the shadow of the Citadel wall and is a hub of activity with its many artisans forging metal, clay or wood into intricate shapes and demonstrating skills handed down through the centuries from their ancestors. The elders of the village reflect solemnly under the shady trees, while the children enjoy running around the narrow safe streets.

The fort has been beautifully restored to its former glory by its owners Maharaj Dalip Singhji, the youngest son of Maharaja Umaid Singhji and his wife Rani Madhu.
