Is Liveops a Scam?

The short answer is no, it’s not a scam. However, it also does not look good.

I recently worked at Liveops and I believe there is good and bad with the company. Here are some common questions;

Are you making money?

Yes, money. It is not “good” money, but money. How desperate are you for the job? The type of living that thrives is that people are deplored to work now. You’ll make money, but it’s more about supplementing your income.

Is it worth the $50 background price? Do I deserve to receive it immediately?

Yes, you will probably earn it the first week. If you don’t, you really haven’t tried very hard. This is, of course, while background check. If they accept you for what they’re asking you to do, they’ll look to hire you, but if you throw up any red flags (getting caught, etc.) you’ll probably send them bumming.

Where Liveops makes its money is by actually working for you. They are paid for by the company they sponsor and you get a small fee. They want you to work, they are not in the business of $50 in part-time income. They do much more than hiring you and putting them to work.

How many hours will I do?

You are paid within a minute of the conversation. They used to pay .25 per minute, but this time only for direct response calls and a few minutes of business and other occasions – ie. calls from infomercials, etc.

However, most newbies should start there, you have to earn your way into it. with your metrics. You will probably start with more like 10 per minute. When you start, unless it’s a holiday, that way they’re probably going to make about $5 an hour. Alcohol doesn’t come back, but it’s really good when you’re new anyway. And you are responsible for getting the revenue from what you do, they don’t. That is, do not leave your job until you are established in the company.

However, if you put in the time with the company, pay attention to your metrics, and keep them stellar, then you can make a reasonable amount, even though the things you get, which you might consider “big” pay, aren’t common. Don’t think into it that you’re going to make $12-$15 an hour right off the bat as a regular agent. You probably aren’t. In fact, you’ll be lucky (or extremely talented) if you ever do this much under these things. A few agents make a good living there, but they are not common.

But there is another exception. If you are a licensed insurance agent, or would like to become one, you can make the best money at Liveops. A whole bit of licensing really rests on your shoulders though. They won’t let you participate until you’ve completed that part.

What metrics?

Metrics like how many hours you get calls, how much each sale is worth, and what percentage of calls you convert into sales. The problem with the current Liveops system is that everything like the time of day makes it hard. I was in the Pizza Hut program and working after about 10 pm the meter just lost what customers call in and the store closed. I.e. you have an appeal with no sale. The percentage of sales you are going down. You can’t really order if the store is closed. That’s why you work very carefully to choose the times, since the volume of the call route to you is completely based on those metrics.

Can I work when I want?

Such as It depends on what schedule you are looking for. Liveops has like a calendar that they post periodically after hours (yes, they’ll tell you when they’ll be posted). People at those hours are on a first come, first served basis. Imagine the time slot to be more like a bowl full of eggs. People pick them up until they’re gone. Sometimes Liveops puts additional eggs because people destroy them, so it’s good to watch the schedule often.

Is it worth it?

I would honestly say that, if for no other reason than you gave it a try. The company of the living is not a bench – the $50 is actually checked to the background and it is quite easy to earn back. I think I can get some pay for the workers on the pay scale, but when you need money there is nothing better. At least they offer jobs in the United States.

But many people find that work at home is not for them. You have a complete environment, which means no crying babies or barking dogs. You can’t have the tv on in the background or the music playing out and you are the author for sure you will have to make a schedule for yourself. There is a chatroom, so you are not alone, but you will not have colleagues to talk to.

Others love it. It’s really all about the details.
