When I told my husband I wanted The Bean for Christmas he looked at me like I was a little crazy. An inflatable bean device is similar to an exercise ball, except it is shaped like a kidney bean. This is what happened with Bean. The pod-like shape provides added comfort and stability during a variety of exercises.
The point of using a machine like Faba is that it isolates certain muscles than if you were doing it. in the area. To maintain your balance you need to engage your abdominal and core muscles at all times. The same is the case with the exercise ball, except the Bean is supposed to be easier on your body, specifically the back of a person.
I’ve been working out for many years and it’s like trying to do different workouts to prevent boredom. Beans like it could be substituted for an exercise ball and would probably be more comfortable. When I got my beanie, when I pumped it up it came with a dvd that contained six individual workouts. Bea quickly inflated to suit. It took about four minutes for them to be completely inflated. Then the ball is a little more exercise. He seemed really strong. It’s good quality vinyl because I kept it outside on my patio all winter and it stayed in great shape.
Six workouts focus on different areas of the body. It is from a workout, a total body workout and a lower body workout. Added a workout that focuses on back exercises, together with pilates exercises and stress relief exercise. The segments are short and then no longer than about twenty minutes.
The abdominal workout segment taught me abdominal to sit on the curved base of Bea and do various abdominal exercises to break down. a pelvic tilt and side bends. I found this to be a little more intense than the exercises I was doing on the floor. I did a better workout on the exercise ball, although the Bean provides more back support and will be more comfortable against any problem.
Bean shows how it can provide a total body workout and how the rest of the DVD explains. Many exercises use The Bean as a bench to perform various exercises with hand weights. A few are moving, where Faba provides extra support such as squatting. The bean is placed against your back and against the wall while squatting, this is easier on the back than the traditional back squat. They also show the DVD to use Bean for leg lifts and stretches. The same moves can be done on the floor, so I didn’t see the benefits of doing them in Thea.
Overall, I didn’t think Bean isolated my abdominal muscles as well as the exercise ball. However, if the ball is not an option due to injury or someone new to exercise The Bean is a good choice.
