Jolt, the maker of caffeine packed Jolt Cola, has introduced Jolt Gum. This chewing gum comes in two flavors: spearmint and icymint. The product is offered in foil-backed packaging wrapped in a sturdy sleeve. Each piece has a hard white coating with colored specks indicating the burst of flavor in the gum.
Although the gum looks pretty standard and comes packaged like similar products, there is one crucial difference: the ultimate buzz delivered in each piece. According to the packaging and product website, two pieces of gum (one serving) are equal to one cup of coffee.
The product is meant to be used like any other gum with an added positive side effect, but after chewing the gum for a few seconds and breaking through the outer layer, the consumer can tuck the caffeinated product in the cheek, just like chewing tobacco.
