Local Coffee Shops in Beaverton

Nobody likes coffee more than I do. I’m really taking the pain and getting to the point where I just don’t want to go out and get through the day if I don’t have caffeine in my system. Yes, I have coffee at home, and I use it often, but in the middle of the day I refer to the places below more often.

Coffee Brake

Located next to Albertsons at the corner of 185th and Farmington, this immaculate retreat is the perfect place to put your feet up and listen to the background music they have As I walk into this little hole-in-the-wall coffee shop called ‘The Coffee Brake’, I’m immersed in my country. /a> the kind of atmosphere where nobody knows your name (if they want to be there often enough) and where the person sitting at the table next to you will be happy to talk to you about local things. The community bulletin board is placed right where everyone can see to open the door; posted on the board for a wide range of local jobs from mowing hay to landscaping. The friendly staff greets me enthusiastically and notice that I am a new face and consequently let me in on what the shop has to offer and also kindly tells me that if they are busy, I can just take my coffee and they will come to me as soon as they can. When I sit with my cup of tea and my laptop (free WiFi), I relax to take in the surroundings and listen to music quietly in the background. Although not quite an outlet for computer use, if you can find an outlet and a comfortable chair, you’re done. You can sit back and relax with a $1.50 cup of coffee that you can refill often, and they’ve started carrying soup with bread, so you can come here on your lunch break and just relax. They don’t make too much noise or so you can talk on the phone and not worry about others, the music is background noise.

A change of owners has transformed this little shop from just a hole in the wall. a really nice place to sip an organic cup of joe in the morning or try the great selection of teas. Free wi-fi and great conversations with the owners and staff are included when you wake up in the morning. Located on the corner of Moravia and Science Park Dr. in Beaverton and just off hwy. 26, Pope Portus was only ten months in the hands of the present owners. One of the best restaurants in Beaverton and the only one that offers prayer at night as far as I know, who would have thought that coffee and prayer would go together? lol The place is seriously so down to earth and Jerry who owns it with his wife is mixed up between Topol, the father of Fiddler on the Roof and a Harley rider. Who would have thought of that combination huh? Address it’s Saturday night after they approach 6pm. Call ahead of time to make sure they have space.
