Hot Springs, Arkansas sits in the middle of the National Park. A city known for its horse racing, natural beauty, rich history… and now the Magic Fountains!
Built in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, this large park offers 26 acres of rides, food and attractions. It was named as one of the Top 3 Best Homes and Garden Family Friendly Amusement Parks in the United States for the best reasons! Another 200 acres on their property is plenty of room for expansion and growth. The owner of the park has a plan to add at least one new attraction every year, either in the love park, or in the Crystal Overpass joint water park
Employees are drilled in two areas: Health and Fun. Provide a safe place for parents to raise their children, and they will be happy! It’s a simple philosophy that has obviously caught on, because last year the park” saw under 500,000 patrons pass through the gates. /a>
Season 2006 boasted a 97% operating rate. That means only 3% of the time from April-October saw any ride closed for anything other than weather-related conditions. Remember the health issue? Sometimes it is lifted in the area, higher rides and beaches, and all water are closed immediately.
The park begins operations in April and is open on weekends until Memorial Day. You can enjoy the treats 7 days a week until Labor Day, when most high school and college workers go to school. they returned The park employs 1,500 local youth and adults to run the rides, operate the cash registers and serve food. Weekends in October include the “Magic Scream” Festival of the Haunted which includes all the rides, plus some fun holidays like haunted houses. >, and trick or treating the kiddos.
But that’s just the numbers! What are you laughing at?
Magic Fountains, in my opinion, has some of the most thriving roller-coasters businesses. Starting with:
The Garlet. Even his name is ominous! Sit on the throne with your feet dangling in mid-air, 100 feet high, dip through the 500 foot steps and fly through 5 inverted loops (yes, I said 5); and all this at 60 miles an hour. My stomach is doing loops just thinking about it. Last summer, my 18-year-old son rode this ride 28 times in one day. . He and his friends were looking for the memory of the thing that could ride the most without object. He did not win.
The X-Coaster. Doesn’t that sound like something from a horror movie? If you’re not into really fast, heart-stopping roller coasters… then this horror movie might be for you. This one just opened in the summer of 2006, but is already a favorite of the garden. The monster launches you 150 feet in the air to the outside of the tower. Then it flips you upside down and spins you to the ground in a corkscrew at 65 miles an hour. Don’t eat before you climb this one.
Arkansas Twister. This is probably my favorite coaster. It’s a classic wooden roller coaster that lifts you 100 feet in the air and drops you back into the trees of the Ouachita Mountains. It’s like Judge Roy Scream at Six Flags Theme Parks. There’s just something about hearing cars crash into the tracks of that wooden monster that makes you want to get back on the line again and again. Go ahead… I’ll do it.
And there are some less seaworthy ones for those who can’t handle monsters.
Big Bad John has to climb 3 smaller hills and ends up in a tunnel with a heart before ending up in a loading bay.
Diamond-Mine The coaster is primarily for young people…but it has enough drops for some adults. The biggest hill will lift you and drop you about 10 feet.
Four men holding each car spin and cheer. It’s a zig zig roller coaster with several “tummy itchy” drops.
Aren’t they roller coasters, but still like a fast and fun ride? You have covered the sources of magic. All you have to do is walk through the park until you get there
The hawk It sounds like such a tame thing. Don’t give yourself a stupid name. This ride will have you screaming for your mom in no time. The first time I saw it, there was no way I was thinking about it. The giant’s arm gentle begins to move in a curving motion. The slopes are getting bigger and higher. Before you know it, you’ll have passed the summit in a complete 360* circle. They set up a row of seats, with everyone on both sides facing the middle, you can do this backwards! Then, after two huge circles, they slow it down and start pulling you the other way. So, if you went through the upper parts last time, now you really do it backwards!
Dr. Dean’s Rocket Machine will launch you 100 feet in the air and then drop you down to free-fall to the ground.
Wild Thang flips, twists and brings down up to 24 knights in 3 turns. 2 of them are motor driven… the third relies purely on gravity. So every ride is unique depending on how many riders and weight.
There are also home rides, for younger children and the faint of heart: Or there is a roller coaster. These include your custom carousel, swings, iron wheels, antique cars and bumper cars. But there are also some fun things to do!
The Pirate Ship Racer turns you back and forth in the comfort of your seats. Sit in the very back seats at the best height of the seat
Pirate Rock is a fun little ride that will launch you round and round and up and down on a pirate ship.
The river log will lift you up and drop you into the water below; guaranteed to cool off from those hot July days in Arkansas.
But for the ultimate water ride, I recommend Plunge Summit. Remember the “step by step” sit-com with Suzanne Summers and Patrick Duffy? When the show enters, the cast is in an Amusement-park-rides”>Amusement park. The kids ride on a boat and When they hit the bottom, standing on the deck is pouring. You get a wet ride on the deck. You want to ride on top of the 100-degree summer temperatures. /e-info.vn/tag/digital-thermometer”>triple digit thermometer has hit.
The park also has a large children’s section with smaller versions of some older rides. The leapin’ lizard is the same as Dr. Rocket’s machine. Deans, Bugga Booga Rota cute iron wheels and Kit and Kaboodle Express are great train rides for little ones.
Day passes are available for $44.99 for those over 52″ tall. Those under 52″ and senior citizens are just $34.99. Active military personnel are admitted free with a valid i.d. Children 2 and under are free.
Each is $8. A picnic area is available outside the park, although no ice chests are allowed inside the park.
Group rates are available for those with more than 15 in the party. You can rent single and double strollers, wheelchairs, and motorized scooters from the park shelter.
Add to the big laughs, the legendary high season concert, which is included in the price of admission. The closest water park and the best food you’ll ever put in your mouth: Magic Springs is a sure thing for your family this summer.
